I see I'm not the only late one here. It's just been too hectic and then I thought it's too late.

Here are 3 videos of my tree as it rotates. I love the rotating base. And several of some of the past years Christmas pictures

Jan, YEP, that too was the day it snowed in Palmdale. My older son Sean was in Palmdale that day and told me about that. I know some who really GET snow are laughing at me---but to me that IS snow even though it didn't stay. Good for you getting your baking done! I'm in the process of finishing up a whole lotta glass flowers for selling this Saturday and a friends vendor sale. I've come up with a new display and now I have a big truck to put more of them in! :-)I took some photos of the finished ones yesterday and hope to post them soon. I'll be getting work/teacher gifts wrapped and the Christmas letter all printed up today. I still cannot believe it is December. It didn't seem like November was here at all! THANK YOU everyone for your very nice comments. This is the first I was able to check back, and was I ever surprised. We are located 40 miles north and a little west of Harrisburg in a rural community. We are surrounded by farmland which they no longer prepare the 'old fashioned way'. It is now done by the no till method, and until the crop is somewhat mature the fields look ugly to me. I am of the generation of laying in bed, late at night, listening to the John Deere tractors putt, putt. I will post some close photos of the little house/potting shed, and some garden areas. The fourth photo background plant is a 'Karley Rose' grass. It is a favorite. When the dew is on it in the morning, and the sun comes up, it looks like it is wearing diamonds, as does the Smoke Tree. A lot of the daylilies found a good home, but over several years the DL bed became taken over with thistles. I contacted the county extension agent and he said in the DL bed they would be practically impossible to eradicate since they are a perennial. The daylilies were planted on a grid of 24" with not much room to work and it became such a chore I gave up on them. I am glad to say the thistles are almost non-existent, but being surrounded by fields they will always make their presence known, (along with a zazillion dandelion), but controllable. The agent though I might have gotten them originally from mushroom mulch. I will try and post more photos tomorrow evening. My DH and I are now making a wind chime with 8 chimes. I found the directions on the length of each chime and I marked the Conduit accordingly. My DH did the manual labor, but I would have tackled it if he had not taken pity on me. It is almost ready for it's unveiling. It sounds great with 3/4" tubing and the longest is 24" and a fraction long. Thanks again. Jane

Celeste, the pictures are beautiful! Instead of kids, the cats (except for Zeus who needs a big hug) are nestled all snug in their beds" Snow pictures are gorgeous...looks like a rainy Christmas for me...and a warm one. But our crazy weather yo-yos cold and hot, cold and hot. But all you do with weather is talk about it, right? Your grandson is precious...love the Santa pic. My two and four YO grands were here today to make cookies with Mimi. After frosting and decorating, the two year old went off to play with blocks, but the Noah, the four year old was made of tougher stuff. "Chocolate chips are my favowite Mimi, so we made chocolate chips, then peanut butter cookies, then "but waisin cookies are my daddy's favowite, Mimi, we have to make them." so we made raisin cookies, then their cookie buckets were full, as was an additional box of chocolate chip cookies. I had to sit down for a while before I even cleaned the kitchen. I'm already planning for next year. And Celeste, we all enjoy your beautiful pictures so much. The amaryllis are really pretty. They go in the ground here when they are through blooming, and they bloom in the ground the next Spring, sometimes twice. I enjoyed your Christmas card, Celeste. Here is a picture of my tree. Jeanne, you sure had me smiling with all your posts and comments. LOL. I needed that today, mental and physical meltdown. Just didn't feel like doing a single thing, so I didn't. Kind of napped most all day, felt like a Zombie. Marlene, I really did cut back a lot as I just didn't have "what it takes" to do what I usually do. Besides not getting out the three 6 ft trees, I didn't put garland on several of my china cabinet tops. And I STILL haven't finished the family-room mantel or done any swags. Several things still need ornaments added too. I didn't realize what a huge job unpacking and sorting EVERYTHING was going to be....I tend to forget how much I have. LOL. Right now I've got to decide what ornaments to use, without those larger trees I have a lot and I do love them. I had wanted to hang a BIG wreath over family-room mantel (where Jason's portrait is) and load it with ornaments. But I just don't think I can afterall. I usually have a wreath there, or last year put a mirror there and garland around it...this time "Jas may stay thru-out Christmas". LOL. I can always drape garland around his portrait I guess. Maybe I just need a few days break, the past one has been so busy and hard physically. (do those Energy drinks work? LOL. Athletes seem to think so.) It works now! (Just be sure to put a capital "C" on it) I really enjoyed the slideshow of all your decorations. What a great Santa collection you have!! I like the 3 angels you have too. Beautiful trees! Thanks for making Christmas go on longer!

Oh, thank you for letting me know. And thank you for the compliments. I love Christmas and I love looking at all of everyone's beautiful homes and decorating. I'm so grateful for all of you for making not feel like I go overboard. LOL I've had 43 years of collecting Christmas things. I just wish I had a bigger house so I could put up more than one tree.

I have lots of angels and I also collect Annalee dolls.

Wow..quite a beautiful collection of dolls and angels. Also, a fantastic Santa collection.
I enjoyed looking at your slideshow..I too enjoying looking at everyones homes and decorations.
I'm thinking where do you store it all since you said you wish you had a bigger house? lol. Right now, I'm still in the midst of putting away my 'stuff'. Each year, I find myself needing more space, to put it all away..

I used to store it in plastic bins in the crawl space under the stairway but I'm getting too old to crawl in there on my poor knees. My DD lives with us and she had to help me the last couple of years so we went out and got a storage shed last year and put it in there. It's on out back lanai so my DH isn't really thrilled about it but . . . it's made life a lot easier for us.

Oh Dorothy...I can relate to your needing help on taking out your decorations each season. I have mine stored in the attic. Even though I can easily walk into it , I still have to haul it down the stairs and then back up when I have to put it all away. I was just telling DH last night, Do you think we'll be hiring someone to do this job for us one day!! lol...it's not easy.
