I'm so sorry to be the one to tell you this. I don't want to break your heart so early in the morning. Just when you thought everything is going along fine. And you mistakenly believe your home is safe.
You have KILLERS is your midst and they are pretending to be coffee cups! QUICK! Get a box, fill it with foam peanuts, and throw those dangers in it and MAIL THEM TO ME!!!!! I'm am your FRIEND and will dispose of them for you. I WILL PROTECT YOU!!!! LOL

Luvs, That setting is very pretty. I love everything you did. And the pink cups and saucers set it off very prettily. What is the design on your stems? And I love the tall vase and fern beside your cupid.

Luvs - that is just the prettiest setting. I absolutely love the cup and saucers. I don't think a hubby would mind just one night of sitting on the floor for a nice romantic dinner by the fire :)......

Betty, you scared me to death! Thought there was something or someone in the pic that I hadn't noticed! LOL Those cups that you are admiring were sent to me by our own previously pink hating Purplemoon! (Wonder if she's gonna want them back now that you all are admiring them so much, and she has "softened" a bit towards pink!) I needed that extra pink color in my setting, but hesitated to use them at first because they have "bunnies" on them--then I decided so what? I have bunnies all over my house year round anyway!

Sandi, those are my Princess House stems--just a little floral etched design around the top.

The cupid, rose vase, fern, scarf and pink rose swag live on top of the cabinet in my bedroom. The little round glass item on the black vase is an old valentines gift from my DH and DS, it has the word LOVE engraved on it and is one of my treasured keepsakes.

That is very romantic, Luvs. The tea cups are so pretty in pink. Get one of those little kiddie chairs for dh to sit on, LOL

Luvs, your romantic tablesetting came out wonderful, the only thing I might add would be some wonderful (unwrapped) chocolates(on a bed of white sugar) in the "shell/dish" that the cupid is holding, after all we must have some chocolate for the ultimate romantic dessert, a little champangne can't hurt either. LOLOL Can you add another place setting for me? (I promise to leave after dessert) LOL

Ahhh! Judith that is why you are so goooood at this stuff. You always take care of every detail. I was so concerned about the plates, cups, glasses, etc. that it didn't even cross my mind to put something in the shell! LOL That would have been great.

No problem on the extra place setting except that I only have two pink cups--but I have lots of pretty cups with roses on them, would that do? And no way I would let you leave quickly--I'd want to pick your brain for lots and lots of decorating ideas! ;o) (Besides DH and I just had our 42nd anniversary the end of December--he'd probably just want to go watch tv.) LOL

Luvs, LOL, Nah, I am ok with details, but I am "serious" about chocolate!! LOL Yes, a cup with roses on it is always perfect, I am already feeling so spoiled! How wonderful, 42 years, that is fantastic, well, you are too modest, you both are wonderful romantics to be together that long, you are obviously doing all the right things.

The centerpieces and vignettes are just another creative outlet, so fun to create and fun to look at--but they don't last as long as my painted items do! LOL Glad you enjoy seeing them too.

Luvs, I loved the pink cups so much, I failed to notice the delicate pink on your china. So pretty. I really love Judith's idea of putting chocolate in your cherub's dish. How romantic. Maybe chocolate dipped strawberries.YUM!
Of course, you could hand feed one of them to DH. Might make him forget the TV!!
Anyhoo, I must, must get some pink stuff!! I can't believe how it speaks to me.

Hi Betty, No problem, it was funny AFTER I read the whole post! LOL

That china was my DH's Grandmother's. The soft pink colors of the flowers look nice in my china cabinet, and she would love that we use it and enjoy it.

Chocolate covered strawberries! Yum! Almost time to make some of those again. We have several roadside stands by strawberry fields here, so love to buy the fresh picked ones.

You won't be the first "pink convert" on here. I have some pink, but Judith, Sandi, and Dream Goddess have LOTS of pink goodies. ;o)

So how are you enjoying retirement? Did it feel strange that first week--sort of like you weren't "supposed" to be home all day? Took me awhile to get out of the get up early and get busy routine--however, you can see that I've completely gotten over that now! LOL
