Kathleen I was just signing off and spotted your post.
I just LOVE - LOVE - LOVE each table. The first one with the red/pink Castle plates and the toile napkins, is absolutely lovely. YOur second table with your mom's china and the CTS plates, is so pretty with the pink tablecloth and cut work overlay. Those napkin rings are darling.. are they old? I remember my Aunt Having a similiar China by Haviland..I always thought the pattern was so lovely and delicate. By the way, my Waterford Bell..would look wonderful besides your Pitcher! Gimbel's...My girlfriend's mother was a Sales Manager for them, and we practically lived there. They had such great things. I was so sorry to see them close.
Now that 'Polka Dot' table is so cute and whimiscal. I love how the patten of the plates and runners work so well together, with just the right touch of white to set it all off. Very nicely put together.
That yummy dinner 'ain't' too shabby either !! lol

Kathleen, what a treat to see THREE tablescapes in one post! And they are all so unique and beautiful in their own way. I'm not sure why, but if I had to choose my fav, it would be the first one...just love the combination of everything you put together there. Now did you try and hide the fact from DH that you were doing all these settings or did you get him to eat at all three? (Food looks fab as always...wish I could hire you to come cook our Val's meal!)

I love your tables, especially the polka dots! So bright and cheery, it looks like a breakfast table to me. I can just see the sun streaming in, some French toast with butter hearts, brown-sugared bacon, hot cocoa...

Good grief, Kathleen, they're ALL gorgeous! I am so impressed with your tablescape skills. The Polka Dot table is drop-dead darling. The Haviland table is so incredibly romantic. Those lace edged plates and your napkin rings are TDF. And, of course, I'm crazy about your Castles table. I'm also lusting after the napkins, placemats and that wonderful tablecloth!
And finally, that dinner looks delish. . . are you a professional photographer, by any chance? You have a real talent for photographing your tablescapes. Please give me some hints on taking better pics of mine someday soon, will you?

Wow!! All three of your tables are so beautifully done. Your toile napkins look gorgeous with the transferware dishes. Love the pink table with your mom's china and the heart plates. The napkin rings with roses go perfectly with that setting. And the polka dot table setting is so fun and totally cute!!! Love it! I dont think I can even pick a fav - they are all inspiring.

I am amazed at your beautiful tables, as usual. Every table that you set is so well put together with so many details and layers that I could spend hours just gazing at them.
Sigh... I'm trying to get one done to post, and you have 3 to die for!!! I need some pale pink tapers to finish mine off and haven't had any luck finding any around here yet.

I sure wish we lived closer. I would follow you around every store! You always find the neatest dishes. I am not a natural born shopper. I need someone to lead me around saying,"Now, this goes with that. And you need those,too!" LOL

Love all of them especially the first one. The plates are definitely red! And whenever you need them to be pink, they can be that too! LOL! The polka dots really look fun also!

I went through the same search for light pink tapers and found them finally at Michaels. For some reason, I could not find pink tapers anywhere else at all!!

Wow, these are beautiful. I saw some of the British Castle plates yesterday at TJ Max and was surprised at the price. I thought they were much more expensive. They are beautiful!

Haviland China from Bavaria! Guess that set is a wee bit older than the napkins. I'm thinking that you got your love of dishes and pretty linens from your mother. If so, we are one in the same when it comes to that.

Did you find the polka dot runners at the same place you got the dishes? They're spot-on (forgive the pun) when it comes to color. I love them.

Heart-shaped biscuits? Heart-shaped biscuits?? HEART-SHAPED BISCUITS?????
I can barely find the time to pop the Pillsbury tube open and you're making heart-shaped biscuits! Are you deliberately trying to make the rest of us look bad?

Happy Valentine's Day! I never tire of your great tablesettings. All three posted here are wonderful. I shamelessly copy (in my head, anyway) one or two new ideas from each table you post! My DH is in Laos for 3 weeks on a medical mission so I am sharing my valentine's dinner with our two little Poms! I know that doesn't sound too inviting to you with your great affection for the 4 legged guests. Anyway, keep your creative tablesettings coming - I love all your special touches with the food too! I wish I had 1/4 of your energy!

Delph, how do you remember those things, LOL...I don't dislike them ...only in my house! :) They are very cute to look at...Some might feel that way about my 4 little gkids!

OA, I don't think the dishes are older than the napkins...she didn't always have them...somewhere along the line she acquired them....and she really didn't want to give them to me! I kind of twisted her arm...:)

One of my other sisters got her good china and gorgeous china chargers when we split up her house....
And no way could I make any of you look bad!

Wow, those plates were only $2.99 at our TJ Maxx. I think I "have" to go back and pick up four! You ladies are turning me into a dishoholic. I have two tables to share, but they are nothing like those here. I will pull the pictures in later today. I am doing some last minute cleaning and have a dessert to make for tonight.

I also found some adorable pink and white salad plates at TJ Maxx that I picked up from the clearance aisle.

I am playing with a lot of tables, but they just don't have "the" look.

Dag-nabbit girl....I leave for a week and you come up with not one but TWO red tables!! and I LOVE the split red and white veggie dish! What pattern is it can you tell??
FYI my last week has been spent recovering from cataract surgery on one eye...my red and white transferware looks even MORE RED!! I will have the second eye done in 5 weeks and then I will report back :^)
My grandmother and Mom both had Haviland, so I have inherited a batch of it....comeday I need to take some pictures...

Gosh Jaybird, hope your eye surgery went well and you are doing okay. One of my friends had her cataracts taken care of and no longer has to wear glasses!
