Jeanne, I think the buffet top looks great! Only suggestion I would have is to maybe tuck a little red berry pick or two over by the coffee server items to carry a little touch of red to that side.

Your candle holder on the table is very unique. I would think white buttons would have been perfect around the candles and would be in keeping with your style.

Your red vase and heart bottle are really neat. How long do you think those candies will be there???? LOL

I love some of your furniture pieces. I have some white buttons just like yours I need to fish out and use. I did see a cute sign at Home Goods that used buttons to spell out Love....mmmmm

Gosh, Jeanne. I think it all looks so nice. No suggestions from me. I like how you thought to put the little birdies on the centerpiece. Very cute! Softens it and brings your eye up.

The baby and her dishes is so cute...she even has her own little heart decoration! I think everything looks beautiful, but I'm with Luvs....you just need a red glittery bit with the white coffee service...even a bow on the handle or a berry pic would be enough. Your centerpiece is very cool...what about a little snow topped greenery...hmmmmm I don't know 'nuthin, so you don't have to pay any attention to me!

I like how the white runner looks like snow, it goes so well with the sheep picture. Some red would look good around the coffee set. Maybe some silk petals and I think some white baby's breath would look good around the candles in your centerpiece would like nice. Just some ideas. I used to have a hammered aluminum centerpiece that was a ferris wheel with little serving bowls kind of like yours.

Jeanne...I love how you made the transistion from Christmas into Valentine's Day.
I particularlly love how you set up your buffet for each holiday. I'm eyeing that old jar with the buttons. Where did you find that? I like the look.
I think Luvs might have a point in adding some red to the side where your coffee set is. Other than that, I think it all looks perfect.
I also like your vignette on your counter with the pretty, red glass and candy.
I think the ONLY thing missing...is the FOOD for Baby..
she looks like she's waiting so patiently to be served!! lol

Jeanne, everything is lovely and you've given me several good ideas. One involves climbing up and getting my jar of buttons off the plate rail and dusting it off! LOL, it *was* dusted before Christmas. I love the jar you have yours in.

I like that you've tweaked Christmas into Valentine's. I try to do that to. I like the use of candy for Valentine's decor altho am holding off on that in the interests of the diet. ;-) No willpower here. That area of your kitchen must smell wonderful with the cinnamon sticks and chocolate kisses.

I love those silverware napkin rings. I have a ring made of a silver handle I bot years ago but the napkin rings are much more useful.

Sorry about your blizzard, I'd trade you a bit of snow for our sunny but bleak brown grass environment. Guess we can always complain about the weather.

purplemoon...the hammered alum. server was a buy on a day trip many yrs ago with good women friends...got it at an antique store...but it's been stored in kitchen cupboards most of the time! Cleaning over these winter days...and thought I don't have to put "food" in it...I can decorate! Ummm...must be some influence flowing thru the air towards Iowa!

sorie & DiningD...I love that winter farm print also...and those sheep called to me at a specialty store shopping day...thank U...sorie, your dog must be beautiful!

And all of you, who suggested some "red" by coffee set...thank U, too...I am working on that...tried some picks I had here at home, but they looked quite Christmas-y...so I am on the look out for smaller faux berries or rose petals.

luckygal & homergal...happy to hear about your buttons! they are such a pleasure to have just sitting around! I buy them at GS's & estate sales ...the jar I bought empty at a GS. I have a winter project to do yet with buttons...a cream colored pitcher & 300-400 white buttons, diff sizes..you Silconed II glue them to it...and at the neck of the pitcher, add white floral or acquarium pebbles..I saw this in a book from lib...looks ery pretty! Took me all summer & fall until I found a "pitcher" I could use for the right price! LOL!

LOL! Yup, Luvs & LuckyG...I've had to :re-fill" that goblet with Kisses already! And, Jane, no food for baby doll...cause then she'd look at me like I'd HAVE to FEED her! But one of Luv's fax cookies would look cute on her tray!

I do love this buffet! It makes my dining area so much smaller & a bit tighter for the person seated on that side...but it is worth it...a lovely treasure! :-) OA...and I love using birds, thanks OA!

jaybird...Thank U...tried a faux snowy pine branch on centerpc...but the needles very long & looked too big...I'll experiment some more. I did add a 4th red votive last night...found one after Christmas clearance at PierI.

Last note...it is "sunny" here again...very cold...but I will be happy to send this snowy weather to anyone who wants some! Jeanne S.

Jeanne, Your table and buffet have a kind of Country look to them and all your decs work so well with that look! As I've mentioned before, I LOVE your holiday tree. It's my favorite of any year-round tree I've ever seen and your V-day decs on it now are wonderful. I love how your white coffee server set picks up the white of the birds on your tree. Good idea! The white buttons in the jar keep with your Country theme and also add more white to the mix. They all work wonderfully together! Love your red glassware, too. They look very festive and very pretty!well.

Have you thought about making Valentines Day Tiles to hang on the wall/put in stands? They are super cheap, really easy, and they come in all kinds of sizes.

I just finished some to hang on my wall last night. I posted pictures on my blog, if you want to check them out!
