Suggestions for adding greenery and other decor to mantle?
Comments (55)Try putting the vase with the red berries to the right of the picture on the right over the bookcase. It looks as though it's going to topple off the mantel. Please, no to the mirror and wreath, that's been so overdone. I like the left side with two frames on the bookcases, just leave them there and don't hang them up. The right side will be balanced out with one picture and the vase with the berries. Remove the clock and put the two candlesticks on the right and the one on the left, and let's see what that looks like....See MoreAny additional decor that you could suggest for my living room?
Comments (23)Oh no MrsB don't say that, you did great, it just needs a little more effort. I agree with other comments about the chairs by the window, with a small table in between the two of them, you could put flowers on the table and maybe candle holders or some other accents, I also have an ottoman in my family room instead of a coffee table, what i did was i put a wood tray on it and it looks pretty nice. You should get a small tray and place it on the ottoman. and you have the space for some nice and elegant accent tables with lamps. Place texture to make the place cozy, i would add a big and stylish area rug, add some throw pillows on the sofa and i see you have a throw blanket as well. You could even place a floor lamp, you have so much space! Have fun decorating!...See MoreAdding furniture & decor
Comments (0)No design brain here! I'm revamping this room, so please excuse the mess. I want to add a desk and chair under the window, some plants, a rug, and rope shelves. Any suggestions for what type of desk I should add to the mix? I think I'm going to go for a midcentury or boho vibe and that it should have wooden elements. Unfortunately nothing can be done with my husband's bachelor life furniture just yet 😂...See MoreFurniture arrangement and decor suggestions please!
Comments (1)Wow I think you have the furniture the best way now, The door really gets in the way of any other arrangement. I would remove the mirror from over the FP. It only reflects the ceiling. Get a piece of art the size of the firebox (horizontal not vertical like the mirror)....See MoreJulia Floyd
