Honoring my furkids tablescape

Please don't think I've lost it completely. lol

We got each of our pug boys in January and I decided to take the tablescape idea and go with it.

The table dedicated to them...

Close-up of the centerpiece with each of their 'gotcha days'...

and a bit out of my norm but a matching arrangement on the side cabinet...

Love it, how cute! Why not a doggie Valenties table, you know we LOVE our furry babies & isn't that what V Day is all about???

Very cute. Considering how I feel about my dogs, I'm the last person to think you've lost it! LOL. Tho if I did a table for my gang, my darn cats would be in the middle of it most likely. Pugs are neat little dogs, I'm sure they keep you entertained with antics.

OA, thanks so much for the wonderful comments. I love seeing everyones tables and if I could go back to school I would take interior design for sure. I'm thrilled that you would get an idea to use from one of my tables. Milosmom, thanks for your sweet comment. I will be looking forward to seeing your Christmas tree this year. Kathleen, thanks and I asked DD where she got the napkin rings and she said at a yard sale. I could of used more kisses but thats all I had.LOL Betty, your so sweet and thanks for your comments. My cups are Princess House Heritage design. I have two china cabinets full. One has the fantasia pattern and the other has the Heritage pattern. One of my close GF sold crystal for years. However, I've grown to love my Waterford and Milkasa far more after discovering them. Dream, thank you so very much for all your sweet comments and I would be honored to have you use any idea you want. I folded the napkins back and forth, full length in the first table setting I post and then slipped the ring off and turned it around and slid it up to hang on the edge of the cup for my other setting. Did this help? Jane, thanks so much and guess what??? I'm hiring a gal to work at my office tomorrow so maybe I can have a day off here and there to play more this summer. Thanks for the warning, I hadn't been told one will start dreaming about tablescapes.haha I can hardly wait to start going through more of DM and DGM's boxes nest spring. Thank you everyone for the compliments and sweet comments. I forgot to say the silverware is SS that I got by saving box top coupons from name brand grocery store items many years ago. I got my whole family involved and eventually collected a service for 16. The crystal came from TJM probably 20 years ago. OA, the little floral cubes are just paper-like rosebuds glued to the top of a piece of styrofoam and then the leaves are layered around the sides. They were a TS find a couple of years ago. I can't take credit for the doilies on the lifts, I saw it somewhere, just don't remember where. Bonnie, we had to postpone the tea party as 1 DD had to work, so will have it at a later time. Right now the sunroom is holding all the flowers I bought to plant and had to hold off because we had at least 3" of snow last night with more expected tonight. I love CO most of the time, but spring is very fickle around here. Really getting anxious for some warm weather to come to stay!! TTFN, Candy

Thanks so much everyone for all your sweet comments. This is why our forum is so wonderful. Nona, I hope your right and DM is smiling from above. Jane, Thanks for your comments. Your so sweet and I missed being here. Thanks for letting me know you liked the angels the way I displayed them. I love candles but put this together in a hurry and wanted to use the angels. I traded some painting books for this set of dishes and some ice skates (which I will be painting on). I did get a little R & R after returning but I have a sore throat and a little cough now. Syble, thanks for your comments and I'm glad you like my candle sticks. The chargers are a set from Walmart I purchased after getting the dishes. I knew the silver ones wouldn't go and I had already used my gold ones. I will want larger sets once I have more tablescape experience.LOL So there is an advantage to being a beginner. Luvs, Thanks for your comments. The placemats were DM also. These are the dishes I traded for the painting books I had posted on the exchange. Luckygal, Thanks for your comments and I'm so happy I could give someone like you an idea with the angels on the centerpiece. They must of passed the test!!! January must be a good month, since Friday was the 3rd anniversary of us rescuing FOUR random cats from the local humane society. (I know... we weren't thinking clearly. lol!) They're now living a life of luxury and completely spoiled. :)

Is that paw fabric under the centerpiece? Or is it a mat for their dishes. I over that print. And how did you get four puppies to sit still long enough to get their picture taken all together?????

OA: The pawprint fabric is a quick cut square I found at Wmart. It was just perfect for this project.
My crew is pretty well behaved and used to photographic torture so getting group shots is fairly easy.
I know, way off topic but here is a couple of them in color..
I luvz my babies. :)

What a wonderful table to honor your furbabies. I agree with Yachter on her comments. Your babies love their photo sets alright. Such cute and content doggies!

I love your paw prints you added to your tablescape. The red and black is so pretty. What made you name one Remington?

Remington was named by and has total power over my DH who is an avid target shooter (thus being named after a firearm).
He has certainly lived up to it with a spunky trigger attitude who tends to be the most agressive of the trio but he's also the most excitable.
He's bossy, demanding and will tell a human off in his own way in no uncertain terms. If you make him mad, you WILL know it. LOL
In his first year, he was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy but we were able to get through it though there are little "off" things that still remain that we think may have been caused by lack of oxygen during his seizures as he's very very different than he was before he got sick.
I chose the other two but Remi is my DHs heart and very very special :).

Off topic but for all of you who love dogs, this is absolutely wonderful...beautiful...and I have it saved as I'm so taken with the music and words and pictures.

Milosmom, I'm not a dog lover but I LOVE your table! What a great idea to celebrate those guys that are so special to you and your DH. Have to admit they are pretty cute!

Just realized...Remington must be the King of the household. In that last photo it looks like he's wearing a crown. LOL.

I had to ask about Remington because my SIL raised pugs and sold them all over the US before her death. Her last name was Remington so couldn't resist asksing when I seen your dogs and the name together here. One never knows!

Karen what a cute little song and show you shared. Thanks so much and I'm sure it is still hard to think about so really appreciate you sharing.

LOL ... Karen : I never noticed that until you mentioned it. Sir Remi would sure like to think he's king of the hill but in as much as he tries, alas , that title goes to the oldest Milo (the chunky one). As silly as it sounds, we bought this house specifically for him (he was an only fur child then) as it had the fenced large yard- no stairs to maneuver as he aged and the front porch was such that we could make it doggie safe so he would be safe if he went out the front door. Not one other house we had looked at had those features so here we are.
Drago the black comes as a rescue with a pitiful story but he has settled in just fine and don't let his innocent cute look fool, he's a devil in a fur suit but pure 100% mommys boy. LOL

Asking never hurts and that's very interesting. Though it can't be my Remi, he & Milo are blood from 2 seperate litters bred by a friend of my DHs.
Remi is the last of his bloodline as his mother was spayed after his birth & is living fit for a queen.

Darling idea and such a cute table. I'd not hesitate for a minute about dedicating a tablescape to my two furbabies either! I can tell your's love the attention of having thier pics taken--very cute. Love the pawprint fabric and the red beads and half beads too. What a fun table, thanks for sharing it with us. Luvs

What a good idea, because there is nothing more special to me than my furchild, Smidge. The paw print cloth really sets the mood for your lovely table. Your babies are just precious.
