Sliding glass shower door vs curtain for 96 x 51 bathroom
Comments (5)You can counteract the dark color of walls and floor with a light brightly colored fabric shower curtain. Buy something pretty and install a tie-back on one side so when dry it can be swept back and provide that open look. It will give the bathroom that sense of "finish" for when prospective tenants come to view your rental. The last thing you want to do down the road is try to restore glass doors that haven't been properly maintained....See MoreDemo Day! Bathroom shower shape and Door
Comments (14)yes, and they say that you can do it, but it may crack. You all gave me a lot to think about. I have the weekend do decide. thank you! DH went to ikea today so we now have the vanities, counter/sinks, and medicine cabinets. He also got a bench for our powder room that I wanted and for the masterbath he got me the towels I liked some bins for the drawers: I chose the faucets and they are here: I still need lights, towel holders/hooks, toilet paper holder, pictures - oh and a bench. I don't mind waiting to see the tile in place before deciding on those things I think. I found this that I love. but I dont love it for this much money. so far regarding the demo I am a bit concerned about what they did with the floor trim. I see some of it but not all of it and we have to add on a piece. I dont know how hard it will be to match. I really love this too - but it seems to heavy (made of concrete!) the last thing for the contractor is I need to pick a paint color. I am still thinking white. but I would like to see the tile in place first, but then I might have to rush. :( Next week should be interesting! :)...See MoreBathroom entry door and shower too close

Comments (9)The shower curtain will save you a lot of money; hundreds or even thousands depending how fancy you get. The curtain is also more practical if you have a few small kids in there. So I would buy two or three so you can always put a clean one up for guests. Also hang/use the curtain so that it falls inside the bath. The way it's shown in the picture above will just allow water to fall on the floor........also in your floor remodel get a waterproof crack isolation membrane installed like Nobleseal TS or maybe something like Ditra. This will waterproof the floor and help stop tile and grout cracking. I dd that on my floor and it's rock solid....See Moreweedyacres
