OKgrassguy, it is a mixed blessing on the farm. For the most part just what the doctor ordered. After two full years of no rain and triple digit heat for 5-months a year, it is a big turn around. So far only a single 90 degree day in N TX this year PeopleÂs water wells are now pumping water again, my stock ponds and reservoirs (everyone else too) are finally full from yesterdays rains. Corn is the tallest and healthiest I have ever witnessed around here (usually burnt to a crisp by now), and everything is green. With corn prices so high from ethanol pressure, it is going to be a stellar year for corn farmers this year. On the flip side, I have quite a bit of sod production areas under water from time-to-time around the creek beds. However with the floods comes free top soil evenly distributed with no labor cost. Lots of delays in harvesting sod waiting for what can be harvested to dry out enough to get the equipment in. Fortunately I have sandy loam, so it only takes a day or two of dry weather to dry things out. I have lost several acres of sod from being drowned, but not a devastating loss. The rest is so productive it makes up for it and provides a seed crop to replant the drowned areas later. Landscaping biz (my SonÂs biz) is good, just a lot of down days. However irrigation side is non existent. Only real complaint is tomato and pepper plants are suffering. Their feet are too wet and not enough sun to put fruit on. If it dries up a bit with some sunshine they should recover if the heat doesnÂt jump above 100. Anyway glad the usual summer high pressure ridge moved out of here this year and now someone else has to deal with heat and drought that it brings.

If the fan was not running while the engine was running, it will not run immediately following engine shut down. The electric cooling fan is controlled by a temperature sensor. When the temperature sensor trips, a relay is turned on to power the fan. If the coolant does not get hot enough to trip the sensor, the fan will not run. On many cars, the fan is shut off when the ignition is shut down, however, some cars and I believe that Honda is one, the fan circuit is electrically hot at all times and the fan will run so long as the temperature sensor calls for it, thus, the fan runs for a period after engine shut-off (provided it was running at engine shut-down). If all was working well, the coolant was not hot enough to warrant a fan when you shut down. However, what you should be concerned with is, "Does the fan run when it should? Is the temperature sensor and fan circuit working?" If you car has a temperaure gage, it can be helpful while diagnosing this system. The other question becomes, "Is the thermostat working, or is it stuck open or missing?" If you are uncomfortable in running a test with the car at rest with the radiator covered, then it is best that you take your concerns to a local shop that you trust.

You may be able to do some quick fixes by yourself. This could have to do with improperly cleaned coils, clogged air filter or anything that causes your air conditioner to overheat. Yes, you may still need a pro but we had the same problem and got ours to start running again by following some simple steps. See link below. If that doesn't work, ask again because I know some professional steps you can take. Also, VERY IMPORTANT. Turn off the power to your air conditioner before using any metal tools to mess with it. That could be drought stress or fertilizer burn. skuiiy: We bought the plant with the shown plastic pot and kept it in there since it seemed to be doing well & producing flowers and fruit. A plant from the nursery producing fruit is often doing so because it's stressed. When tomatoes are stressed, they fruit because the plant rushes to reproduce before it dies. So assuming it's happy because it's fruiting could be incorrect. Even if the pot is OK now, it won't be much longer unless that plant is a dwarf or small determinate. skuiiy: -Gave it liquid fertilizer. -Added about a spoonful of epsom salt to the soil/mulch mix it's in and mixed it in a bit. Epsom salt is really only necessary if the plant has a magnesium deficiency. If not, it could cause problems. Also, it's possible you've given the plant too much fertilizer, which can manifest as leaf burn skuiiy: now I'm watering(about 2 cups of tap water, instead of just 1)every other day starting today to see how that goes. First: Pot it in a much larger container. Gently knock off as much of the current potting mix as possible so that almost all of the mix is fresh, as this will help correct the problem if nitrogen burn is the problem. Use a normal, fluffy, well-draining potting mix, not a mix advertised as moisture-retaining, and not anything labeled as "garden soil". Mix water into the mix well before putting it in the pot, as peat-based mixes can initially repel water if they're dry. Second: Don't measure your water or water on a set schedule. To determine when to water, stick your finger down into the mix a couple inches. If it's dry, water and water very deeply, until the water is running freely out of the bottom of the pot. If it's still wet a couple inches down under the surface, hold off. In your climate, when it gets hot, don't be surprised if you have to water daily. As for fertilizer, you can give the plant a dose according to instructions once a week or every two weeks (depends on how frequently you have to water), or you can water at very dilute strength with every watering (dilute more the more frequently you have to water).
