I'm sorry about your daughters's dog too Mary. Our son sent us a utube video he made for Goldie today and it was so sweet it made me cry looking at all the pics he had of Goldie and Mercedes over the years. They are together again now. I am wondering if something of her is still here at meal time though. Something weird is going on with BB. They never fought over food but each waited for their bite of leftovers when we finished eating. Now BB looks at the place where Goldie passed away and growls and all the hair stands up on her neck and she won't go in her crate to sleep anymore and usually goes to bed before we do. Its right next to the door where she was last. I hope she settles down. Its creeping me out. She does this for hours after supper the last couple of nights until after we go to bed.

IÂm a salsa/paste maker myself and need to time tomato-pepper harvest with garlic harvest, which is July 10th. 2 weeks after garlic harvest, the bulbs are cured. One of the early tomatoes is Milano Plum and the other is Napoli. The pepper Buran for mild and Early Jalapeno for the medium. Why Buran? Mmmmmmm doughnuts, lucky you Rachel! (maple frosted is my favorite) I would have killed to have a brother working in doughnut shop when I was younger. I had a great metabolism when I was a teen too. Not til I was around 25 did it turn on me and started gaining weight lol. The girls are still sleeping. I don't expect them to wake up til at least noon. Kayla would sleep til 3pm if I let her. Tomorrow we are bringing her down to my sister's house to live. She will be staying there while she goes to college. It's a community college, no dorms. And to keep this post on a cooking theme, Kayla will be helping out with the cooking also. My sister doesn't cook much but Kayla does. She makes better omelets than I do! We started teaching our kids to cook at an early age. Being in the kitchen with us while we prepare meals. Helping with stirring and mixing when they were real little and then cutting veggies and seasoning meats when they got older. It is an important life skill for young people to know when they get out on their own. My other daughter Ariel who is a Senior this year at college does most of her own cooking there. Thanks, we feel very lucky. Even when Beulah decides on her own to help us take down the tree decorations. So far tree 0 Beulah 2. One a styrofoam fabric covered ball and a small Santa teddy bear. Original names were Rigby (Beulah) and Karma (Bernadette). We went through several pairs like Cagney and Lacy, Joan and Betty (we're big Joan Crawford and Bette Davis fans) Laverne and Shirley, Thelma and Louise. Geo's favorite (seriously) was Frick and Frack. Schoolhouse_gw. Nope the covers are just plain old fabric. Got them for $12 apiece at Big Lots.
