My Mom is still in the Hosp and Im still sick

Just a catch up note that everything is about the same here.

My Mom is holding her own but the Dr says she is still not eating and sleeping alto.

They have been giving her 3 units of blood.

They have here under Skilled care now which is just paper work for Medicare .The Dr doesn't see her so often now as when she first went in.

I know she has been getting cards from you all and is enjoying them so much.

I went to the Dr Monday I still have a fever and no energy and he gave me 2 more shots and told me to come back in a week.....Still cannot go visit my mother with these fever.

I have done nothing have no energy at all....I do go at about 1.pm to eat a good lunch and from there on if my hubby get hungry he fixes soup or a sandwich.

this is the pits with 3 of us down but believe me I have gotten the much needed rest I was in need of.

I called and talked with my Mom she is very hard of hearing so I screaming in the phone and she did understand that my intention is bring her home as soon as I am able.

Which she had no problem hearing.

This is the first time in 5 years that we have been away from each other!!!!!Its so hard not having her here ..

But I do know that this must have happened for a reason.

I was complete exhausted.

Hopefully soon I will be better...

Dear Kathy...that is a mess.You guys really got a bad bug. Sounds almost like old-fashioned flu. I am sure yoiu would ratrher have her home, but with all sick and her needing blood..that isn't something you can do at home. Try to put your mind at ease (hard to do) and just rest. Do you have family nearby..I forget?

Kathy, why is your mother needing blood? It sounds almost the same as my MIL, when she went in. She quit eating altogether. I hope eventually the spring weather will renew us all and get you and your mother back in shape. God Bless you all. Got to run ...just home for the day doing bills. Back to the R.V......want to be home so bad....hmmmmm...funny alot of you would like to be traveling huh...well this is a work situation not vacation...toot a loo.....Gabs

I hope your fish pulls through Ernie. It sounds like you may have a raccoon feeding at you pond. With it only being 200 gallons the raccoons can get right into it very easily and snatch a fish. Looks as if you may have to have something around the pond to deter the raccoons as they will keep coming back for a meal. I had my pond raided so often that I installed a low lying electric fence around it and that has done the trick so far. "Horton"

Luvs...just read your post..and Thank you for your caring words. I'm feeling much better, and I'm looking foward to being out and about again real soon. I see the Dr on Wed - to get an 'all clear' and can hopefully move on. Funny, the Witch has been sitting in the shed for a couple of weeks now..DH got her done real fast along with the cats. I was going to put her up this past weekend, but..you know why that didn't happen...lol Hopefully in a few days..as I promised the kids. As far as my Fall decos...I've got most done too. I think that's where I pushed too hard when I was feeling awful. Right now, I'm in bed, downloading pics to Photobucket and will be posting. TG for this laptop! jane

Colleenoz, one of my very favorite quotes is the last one you said (or as I heard it in one of my favorite movies): "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." Chicken fried steak is good and I could eat it twice a week if I could, but variety is the spice of life. Dcarch, thank you for that idea! Now that you mention it, sometimes when I eat fast food (usually a burger and fries), I feel my mood plummet shortly afterwards. Which bothers me since I like my burgers lol. Seafood (especially crab legs), salads, fruits and veggies, nuts and yogurt are some types of food that actually make me feel good after I eat them. Foodonastump, lol well I do eat junk food, but I'm cutting back on it. Yesterday I got hungry for a snack and grabbed a yogurt instead of chips and candy and soda. I felt really good about that. Most of the TV dinners I eat are either Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones. I have to watch my sodium and caffiene intake anyway because of my kidney stones. Once you get them, it's highly likely to get them again. Mystique and pumpkin, I'd like to think of my gardening and cooking as one big fun lifelong project that's made up of smaller fun projects as they're both fairly new to me. They really help build my self-esteem (I've had self-esteem issues all my life and being bullied in school never helped that). They're both filled with successes and failures and you learn from them. My mom lives with me for the last 11 year's. When she has to be in the hospital for any reason I find it harder then when she's at home cause here in Texas the hospitals are so far from where I live and I get lost alot..

But you should try to rest.. I know it's easy for me to say.. My mom is going on 86 this year and also hard of hearing.. Her hearing is getting worse also.. She wears a hearing aid but I don't think it helps all that much anymore..

Sorry to hear all that you and your family are going thru right now, Kathy. I'm sorry I don't have all the details, as I haven't been on here much lately with Mom needing more care than ever, but I'll send up a prayer for you and yours and pray you all get your health back and be stronger than ever.

Kathy, Wow...you have really had a bad time of this flu bug. Good to hear that Mom is doing o.k. It's hard having her in the hospital...and not being able to go and see her....5 years is a long time....hate that you have to go thur this but....you so need this time for rest. Spring is here and soon you all will be well and be able to sit out on that deck. Love and prayers sent to you,DH and DM. Nora

Hi Kathy... Keep resting and let your body heal itself. You've pushed it long and hard, young lady!!! Yes, it's difficult for both you and your DM to be separated, but this isn't of your choosing. It's a necessity... I'm sorry I don't know how to send your DM a card. But I pray God is merciful and ministers healing to each of you. ~breezy
