Please show me your pulls/knobs on your natural cherry cabinets
Comments (20)Hi Everyone, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and show us your beautiful kitchens. Leela-which knobs/pulls did you from RH? Love your soapstone countertop. Anthomeinva- Will look at the Dakota knobs. I see you have beautiful soapstone, too. Badgergal-We hadn't heard of Hickory Hardware and will investigate; beautiful cabinets. Prospect-Looks like you have soapstone countertops, too. We love your floor. Enduring-Love your backsplash; what material did you use? Sloane-We think your photos convinced us to select satin/brushed nickel. Lovely view! Labbie-We will look at Top Knobs web site - beautiful kitchen Mayflowers-the ORB does not look dated and is a nice choice for you kitchen-especially with the lighter floor and counters. Thank you all again for taking the time to post photos of your beautiful kitchens and share information. As you may have noted I wanted soapstone (not so much DH). We did not choose soapstone because I was scared off by the discussions about softness. I still LOVE the way it looks, especially with natural cherry. Comments (7)Would adding a polished nickel light fixture be too much? I'm considering one from Restoration hardware. Unfortunately I can't see it in person, can just order online.. If I do that then I'd have 3 metal finishes in my tiny kitchen! Unless I choose a nickel finish for the faucet.....See MoreDo all powder room hardwares' finish have to match with faucet's
Comments (3)I have a vessel sink bathroom with orb faucet, antique chrome tp holder, chrome trim on the toilet, and then an old toilet tank with verdigris and brass. So maybe I am not the person to ask! I think if you are going at all rustic, and the rest of the palette is muted, mixing is fine. You need to be more careful in a modern space or a very formal space or with "near misses", ie things that look like you tried to match but failed....See MorePlease, HELP ME choose finish for cabinet pulls and knobs...
Comments (9)Hi everyone- thanks for the advices. I'm sorry I didn't call me back earlier to this thread but we had a very busy weekend with my 7y old breaking her leg! She is fine now, but is proving to be a little tyrant:) I don't have brass anywhere else in the house, although I'm considering getting a brass/blow glass pendant for my dining room, which opens into the kitchen. I read some material online about how to mix hardware finishes successfully and the designer said something along the lines of keeping the mixture restricted to different eye levels. I think If I had bought a faucet in stainless steel finish AND if the brass in my pendant were more golden, I could have the hardware I like best. However, at the lower eye level I have already mixed two different finishes: stainless for the appliances and polished nickel for the faucets. i definitely do NOT want stainless for the cabinets hardware. I'm considering polished nickel (or brushed) for it. What do you think? do you think it would be too clinical and cold? The backsplash is a warm white as is the paint (feather dove by BM). The floor is wood which also brings some warmth... And finally, I will add two open wood shelves either in walnut stain or the same stain of the floor (provincial). The hardware for the shelves will be dark, similar to the pendant's. do you think nickel hardware would work in this context?...See Moremargar
