SunnyC, you should start a new obsession thread every month. I enjoy reading everyone elses "preoccupation"lol! obsession Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety. A compulsive, often unreasonable idea or emotion. You asked for a pic of my finished stenciled wall. I did this project at work, not at home. I wanted something a bit over the top in scale. The scroll is almost 3' high though I wish I could have found one about 5'. The walls are 24' so it would have been kinda cool if I brought them up even higher. Didn't want to stencil from an extension ladder though. A broken bone is not in my plans for the future! Anyway, here is a pic. Product has been hastily thrown back in place, so just look at the wall please:) For perspective, the pink is painted to a height of 9'. The stenciling goes around the corner about another 20'. So that project has now led me to the next phase of my obsession which is painting this harlequin pattern on an opposite wall. I'm thinking just a shot of it. Three rows wide and going up about 12'. I found a company that offers diamond shaped stencils in a 4' x 2' size. I could achieve the Harlequin pattern with painters tape, a level and a tape measurer, but that's giving me a headache thinking about it....

Stay away from Smith and Noble. Stay far, far away. I ordered 6 shades. I paid Smith and Noble to come measure. When the shades arrived, 5 of the 6 were about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too wide for the windows. I asked to return the shades to get my money back. Turns out their "satisfaction guarantee pledge" means that they won't give you your money back, no matter what. They insist on coming back to re-measure, but a) I can't take time off from work again for this, and b) why would I want to run the risk of further screw ups and hassle? Their customer service staff come across as Soviet-style bureaucrats. Evidently, Smith and Noble could care less about disappointing their customers and engendering ill will. I guess my next steps are to file complaints with the BBB and my state's attorney general, as well as dispute the original charge with my credit card company. I'll probably send the shades back to the company's president for good measure. Keep in mind that Smith and Noble's "partner sites" (i.e. sister companies) include Ballard Designs, Grandin Road, Garnet Hill, TravelSmith, Frontgate, and others. You can rest assured that I won't be giving any of them my business in the future either.

That's funny about the egg. A professional chef, Molly, a neighbor at my rental house, has 2 she keeps them going all weekend. The smell of the cooking meat is divine! My fence was starting to bow as Molly would feed Cain, a BIG Great Dane, scraps over my fence. :0) I just picked up a FREE gas lawn mower off CL. It's about 8 years old. Runs great. :0) I'm tickled. At JCP, I had coupons, got several things, : BIG square white serving bowl. for $2.50. Mens socks for .59cents for a package of 2, Mens Levis leather belt $1.20.

Yes...same here, city plant them allot along roadsides. [might be a little polluted] I'm still experimenting picking for the cleanest method for fresh eating, [when cooking/straining or juicing you don't have to clean them much]. Picking with fingers is the cleanest slowest method so far. Tools make a messy job and need allot of sorting out for eating whole. This tool I built below... [Russian style on you tube] is not bad, the problem is when heaving HUGE clusters as I have, some bunches come off together with stems and need to be separated after for eating whole. With fingers these huge clusters, [shown above] become a problem by squeezing too many. Material is Nylon with fishing line for pulling off...
