It has a lot of similar elements to ours, so I will be studying your pictures carefully for ideas. I especially love your counters. Is that granite in bathrooms also? It is stunning. I really like the wall of windows in your great room. I also love the countertop in your media room bath...is that an onyx or is it granite? I've always loved the outside of your home (that red siding is so striking) , and now I love the inside as well. Thanks for sharing!

I can tell folks what your media bath counter is, I think. I have it in my office bath. Looks to me like marble, "Rainforest Green." I love it. Wanted to put it in my kitchen, but DH just couldn't go for it.

I have the tile version, which is much less expensive than a slab. In a small amount it the lines running various ways don't look so much like a jumble, which they might in a large area.

I think your boys bath is my favorite. It is really masculine and gorgeous. A perfect bath for them to grow with thru the years. :o) Love the kitchen, especially love the small tile around the fireplace, and your comforter set for the master bedroom is gorgeous too!! Oh, I too adore the pantry. I'll have to steal your idea for the can holders, if you don't mind!!

Okay, I'm back tonight. Sorry that I don't address anyone specifically here, but I think I'll be getting everyone's questions answered nonetheless. I really do appreciate hearing from everyone. Thanks for the 'good vibes' sent as well. I have had to move to OR to live with my parents for a couple months while I undergo some treatment for Meniere's disease (think vertigo and riding the tilt-a-whirl at the same time). I've got the 1 yr old with me but the other two (2 and 6) are with daddy back home in our lovely new house. Rather ironic, huh? It's been nuts, to say the least.
So anyways...to answer all your questions...!

1) Yes, that is a Bluestar you spied in the kitchen. We got the 48" with 2 burners on each side and the 24" griddle in the middle. My DH is a true BBQ guy, so no point having an indoor grill for us.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Bluestar. We can bring to boil a lg pot of water on the 22k burner in 12 minutes or less. That's cold well water to start with. And we love using the griddle. I don't think I would like it so much if we had gone with the smaller size (12 or 18" ?). The 24" is perfect .

2) I purchased all my mirrors from Lamps Plus online. Most of them were Quoizel brand, which also happened to be the main lighting brand we used as well.

3) We used granite or marble for all the countertops in the house except the laundry room and a small little spot in the pantry. Oh, and the solid surface one for the home office. The countertop in the media bath is "Rainforest Green", or "Amazon Green" marble.

4) The Mstr Bdr paint colors: We used Columbia Paint's "Land Before Time" for the green and "Brown Suede" for the brown ceiling edge treatment. It took awhile to find just the right green to go with that bedding!

5) Ah, the pantry rolling shelves--you would not believe how many people ask about that! We bought them at Costco over a year ago (and much cheaper that way), but they are from a company called "ShelfReliance". They are based out of Utah. I put a link on to their site.

6) We went with the Dynasty (Omega) cabinet line, "Bancroft" style throughout. All doors and drawers have the soft close and I love it! The Kitchen, Gt Rm and Mstr are cherry and have the 'Ginger Coffee' finish. The kitchen island is maple in the distressed black paint finish. All other cabs are alder and mostly in the 'Sage' finish. I did do "Butternut Onyx" in the 1/2 bath and the desks in the bedrooms (but not the home office) are (I think) "Cinnamon".

7) The walnut staircase was another 'baby' of mine in the planning. Actually, the whole dang house was, come to think of it! We didn't use any stain on it other than clear so that we could get the natural grain patterns to really show. I am SO glad we did it.

8) The boys' 'copper slate' bathroom IS masculine, but I also took into consideration that a girl would probably be okay with it too--just in case! We have 3 boys, so odds are...

Most lighting is Quoizel. Plumbing fixtures are Moen. The Mstr tub is UltraBain. Toilets are Kohler. Mstr sinks are DuraVit. Other bath sinks American Standard. Kitchen sinks are Moen 'Lancelot Pro' line. All paint is Columbia Paint, but I had them color match from other companies for just about everything. Doorknobs all Baldwin. Cabinet hardware a bunch of brands, but the main company was 'Anne At Home'. Fridge and freezer are 'Northland' commercial units that have only been changed to be quieter for residential use. The siding outside is HardiPlank brand that was factory painted before delivery in 'New Pilgrim Red' color.

fishpants: I love so MANY things about your house but if I had to pick one I would say I love your black trim on your kitchen cabinets. That is a very nice personal touch. I love your corner sink too. And of course the stairs are marvelous!! OOOOPS only one...knew I couldn't pick just one.

The company is "ShelfReliance" but the name on the box said "CanSolidator". I just noticed yesterday that they are back again at Costco! Must be a New Year's organization-resolution thing. Anyways, each box is around $24. I think we have a total of four boxes worth is all in the picture you see.
