Can you show a close up of several leaves?

Yes--sure--the paver part is labor intensive, but doable. I think This Old House has a video. I did pavers over existing slab. The slab was mostly even, but there were some cracked and uneven areas (not a lot). I see a Houzz photo right now as I'm typing this that I'm going to add--so I laid pavers with river rock between on a level area--big enough for a seating area, then just river rocked over the uneven area. Forgot to say--the previous owners had covered the entire slab with river rock (making it weird to walk or put chairs on it), so I just removed them in the areas that I wanted to put down the pavers. And because I have a bad back, I opted to put two 8x16 pavers together to form one square, since they were lighter than lifting 16 x 16 pavers. I alternated the way the 'line' in the center of the two pavers ran and it came out nice. I'm too darn lazy to go take a photo, hence the Houzz photo I borrowed.

Hi, relative newbie to the forum here, and I think some might call me young-ish. But I started young. I've found this forum, and others, to be great for information when I've had a question. There are some that can be abrasive, and difficult, but not all. Some really just want their own opinions echoed back to them, but that can be said of many these days. Thought I'd weigh in, because I have noticed that it seems that there are quite a few, at least in my area, in the younger generations that seem to struggle with gardening and other skills. I don't know that it's that they don't want to, I think it's just that they don't know how and the fear of failure. Once you show them that it isn't so scary, many will find their feet. Helping kids to learn young, and internet resources that show that it isn't so daunting are indispensible to keep people interested in this hobby. And I think this forum has been great to show people the possibilities if they just stick it out.
