Indian picture on vase

My son bought this vase at a sale and I was wondering if anyone here could tell me something about it...who made it, its approximtate worth, etc. It is in shades of brown and gold and is sort of translucent in that you can see the shadow of your fingers through it when held up to the light. There is a picture of an Indian on a horse and there are no markings on the bottom...

Can't see the picture......tried properties and copy and paste the URL.....and it still said no file.

Could it be glass?.....can you show a picture of the top and the bottom?....Does the color seem to be painted on....or in the body of the ware?....Any signature on it anywhere....like at the bottom of the picture?
Sure don't know what it is off hand....but maybe more clues would help.

thank you for the fast responses.after hearing,i did look a little on ebay at navajo rugs......saw such a wide range from $30 to 1500....this one looks old with some staining and wear.so may not be very desirable. i know a local person he runs big auctions on proxybid.i may give it to hime and see if it lands somewhere on the food chain.....not expecting much myself.but i guess will find out.thanks again to all.

It's glass...I don't have it here to take anymore pictures, but it's white under the brown/gold on the outside. If you look down into it, you see white and the bottom is white..no signatures or markings...could it be milk glass?

There is one similar to it on e-bay only with a different picture...it is under "Indian vases" if you want to go and take a look. I was surprised that there was one there, but someone suggested I look. The man who has it, says it is milk glass...I was just sort of interested in the history of it...and now I'm wondering how many different pictures there are and how they got them on there in the first place...

Milk glass is just a term for glass that is an opaque or semi opaque white...clam broth is the term for something that less opaque. If it's glass and "white"...I guess it's milk glass....but then so are those white figural light bulbs. "Milk Glass" usually means glass made in a "pattern" rather than just simple plain glass.
I have seen vases like that...but not with an indian....can't remember what it was though....and seems that the price was not much....but that was a while ago....ebay will be your best gauge as to price.

Thanks, Linda...I was just going on what he had said his was (milk glass)...there must be several different patterns with this thing...since we have seen the two. It would be interesting to know more about them...wonder how many different patterns there are, etc...
