Early Masons Vista Pink Soup Tureen
Comments (14)Wanda, your tureen is different from the OP's tureen. Your's is the more common style, bringing about $300 to possibly $400 if everything is there....the OP's tureen is the round one with the dolphin handles.....very rare....worth well more than $1,000 is in perfect condition....See MoreMason's Vista Pink
Comments (6)Oh my!!!! I have a house full of the stuff! But am not really looking for more but perhaps for the luncheon plates. Mason's Pink Vista has been around for a lot of years...the early pieces didn't do well in the dishwasher, they discolored. Unless you really luck out by finding someone with deep pockets and a desire for a complete set, you will be money ahead by piecing it out on eBay or consigning to a local antiques shop. Comments (16)Chi or X is often used to abbreviate the name Christ, as in the holiday Christmas (Xmas). When joined together in a single typespace with the Greek letter Rho (P), it is called the labarum and used to represent the person of Jesus Christ. Consurgo is "to rise". Christus ressurexit would approximate He is risen in Latin; Christos anesti in Greek. The burning heart appears to be surrounded by a stylized crown of thorns - real Roman Catholic with the Sacred Heart depiction of Jesus pointing to his flaming, thorned heart. Symbolizing, I think, His undying, unquenchable love for mankind ergo His sacrifice on the cross. Much more than anyone wanted to know, but I so seldom get to use this stuff stored away somewhere in memory....See MoreWho else has gone past the one year mark, and not done yet?
Comments (52)We re about to hit the 7 month mark of no stove, with another 2 months until permits get approved for propane. Demo was in Nov, our punch list is long, our stove is in but not hooked up, our venthood does not work, parts of the counter have been missing for months and I need to paint so much it is overwhelming. I have painted approx half of what needs doing (the entire interior, minus our sons' room needs doing, including painting stained moldings and window trim and new primed window trim and moldings). Then, I get to finish a small section of exterior and paint the garage door. Once the interior is painted, and money allows, we need to rip up the dr and new den floor and put down new wood floors. We need to rip up our new kitchen floor for another one to be determined. Then, the backyard that got chewed up by machines will need fixing and we need a new fence (old ugly one had to get half torn down in the process). I expect to get the interior done in approx 4 months and the rest by Spring. We'll be right around the 1 year mark, if we are lucky! (I am not even thinking of how long until the bs....)...See Moretexasredhead
