grey and white bathroom +what other color?
Comments (10)At work, in our newly designed building, the committee picked dark grey and light grey. We have steel cabinets and the panels are a lighter grey. I found that I liked the pale icy blue with dark green against those two. Silver looks really great with it all. My boss, on the other hand, loves warm colors. His office has deep blue velvet couch and chairs. His Persian rug is a deep burgundy with touches of lighter green and a tanish orange. He has light oak furniture and it all pulls together well. I decided that grey makes a great "back drop" and whichever palate you use shines well. I'd have the pale blue, nickel and a "stronger color" (in this case grey is the neutral) to stand up against it all. Or the tan, mint green plus the "stronger color". Otherwise, it's all too matched and doesn't have the same punch. Just what's worked for us here....See Moregrey -white bathroom and what color?
Comments (16)Thanks! I agree the blue looks really nice- that is one of the contenders though I was thinking of a paler blue. I am now of course having strong second thoughts that I probably should have painted the vanity dark dark brown. I dont think I have it in me to re-paint it now. I think the pale blue with the grey and white can look very spa-like as someone suggested........Threegrad- what finish is the light fixture over the mirror? It looks really nice, and I am noticing that it looks orb-ish and it still seems to go very nicely with the other silver tones in the bath(faucets and hardware)... is it orb or is it the monitor messing with me?...See MoreAnew Gray or Analytical Gray for bathroom
Comments (2)https://thelandofcolor.com/anew-gray-7030-by-sherwin-williams/ Don’t trouble yourself with undertones, check out their objective measurable attributes instead. (See link above) They are both near neutrals from the Yellow Hue Family and can be prone to colour shift in certain imbalanced lighting. Anew Gray sits closer to the Yellow-Red Hue Family and so can be inclined to shift purple in lighting which spikes more in blue/violet wavelength. It doesn’t happen in every setting so as mentioned above, they require testing in your space to see how they render. Analytical Gray may also shift purple but maybe less inclined to do so than Anew Gray as it sits just a touch further into the Yellow Hue Family. It is also more colourful than Anew Gray (more Chroma). Analytical Gray may in some settings, show moments of greenness, a little like the sensation you might note when viewing a bronze. Again you need to see how it behaves with your lighting....See MoreWhat other colors go with agreeable gray and anew gray?
Comments (2)The concept of selecting neutrals as our main wall color in the major living spaces of our home is that many colors work with the neutrals and can be used as either accent colors in our main living space or main colors in adjoining spaces. Do you have any blues or greens in the adjoining spaces? I think the example below shows how they took accent colors from the living space into bathrooms and bedrooms. It is the same concept - repeat colors throughout to create harmony....See Moregiacomo_it
