Ugg boots on a 50 year old???
Comments (62)Bumble- I wasn't even HINTING at the angle you're addressing....Sheesh! I was speaking ONLY about the Ugg-appeal, or lack thereof! NOT how Women should dress. Tinam- LOL....oooops! Yes...that's what I meant! Poncho's! YUCK! I think even Sofia Vergera would look like Hell in a Poncho...but that's just ME! AJ- Yep....I DO view the person separate from what they're wearing! I'm not THAT shallow, believe-it-or-no! I stand with your DH on this one! In a humorous vein....if there was a couple of Fashion-articles I could ban/destroy, Poncho's would be one of-'em!! "Kitten-heels" would be another.... >>> ;-) Faron...See MoreOakley thought I should check with you re: my boots
Comments (38)Oakley, the kitchen wallpaper is history. And not a moment too soon. I love a kitchen table in my kitchen, even if it defies all kitchen organization. Yes, if I didn't have animals, I may consider a rug in the kitchen but I like to easily clean. I love braided rugs too and have one upstairs but have more antique persian ones because of family hand me downs. I still have the wallpaper in my living room because I am in tired of trying to decide what I want to do in that room. It's large and overwhelming. DH built the outbuilding. It's technically our well house. It's large enough to make a small Guest house (sans bathroom) and with out MIL coming, we will likely do just that. (I've been studying trailer floor plans for ideas.) It is finished inside but not furnished. We could put in a motel style kitchen but no bathroom. The septic would be too close to our well....See MoreDo you wear Ugg boots?
Comments (31)OHHH 'iamjustme'~~that is a good hint I & DD wear size 7's and buy size 6 Uggs DGD wears a 6 and forsure could wear a childs size~~I am going to check that out. My 2 year old GD has had 2 pairs of us wears a pair now on cold days to pre-school so cute~~hers have the button on the side only boots DD could find to get on her fat feet. For you all who bash Cali for wearing them with shorts I just did a Wikipedia check on the history of Uggs~~they were brought over here in the late 70's by the surfers to warm there feet after surfing. Very popular to wear at HS swim meets with swim parkas to wear after each swim event. They are also considered a 'unisex' item. Sad that Hollywood as always takes something from our everyday life and makes it a big fashion statement as well as a joke:( Just an FYI...See MoreI need suggestions for a winter boot
Comments (47)Thanks, daisy. I ended up buying a pair from a British company called Duo when they were offering free international shipping. Duo was recommended to me because you could order by calf size. Often boots sold in wide widths have wider boot shafts but I don't have wide feet. Within the past couple weeks I've received notices that Duo has changed its name - not sure if it's a merger or buyout, but they claim they'll offer the same quality & service. It's a two-name name like "Muffy & ........" (Can't think of it right now) My calves really are pure muscle - I got them from my Dad. My thighs, well, that's a different story... I was so impressed with the quality of the La Canadiennes I'd like to try them again. Maybe a style that isn't knee high could work. ETA The new name for Duo is Ted & Muffy...See More- 22 years ago
