You could try Fish Emulsion and suffocate the buggers, then remove them. I wouldn't use any kind of pesticide on ferns. You may have to defoliate the plant.

Interesting equation: if you have 60'' you could consider one of the 55' Lacanches like the Cluny 1400 (two smaller ovens plus a warming cabinet) or the Sully (two larger ovens, no WC). The Cluny would make sense as long as you are OK with the oven size. Both will run in the $13-15K range if I'm correct. It is true that that will begin to approach the price of the 60'' BS plus twin wall ovens (maybe $4k for Mieles?) and a warming drawer ($1500 to $2000 if I remember correctly). You'd trade off issues of being unable to use the LC ovens if Meniere's is active, versus the upside of a gorgeous Franch range instead of the "same old" pro-style SS range. I'd do the LC, but many others would go the "function over style" route and choose the BS with the higher BTU output, plus the advantages of wall ovens. You might also want to factor in some of the BS reliability issues that are debated and posted about here on GW which appear to be rather rare with the LC's.
