Need help ID'ing some nesting bowls

Hi,

My wife purchased a set of 4 nesting mixing bowls and I have tried several times for several years now to identify them. I have had no luck...

Those are really pretty. Do any of the bottoms have any marks on them at all? Is there any age crazing or other indicator of age? I'm not familiar with the pattern of the decoration, but there are so many.

I forgot. There is a marking on the bottom, not much though.

The number 300 was stamped into the bottom of all 4 bowls. Nothing more.

We bought these over 10 years ago from an antique shop. Yes, I know, not everthing in an antique shop is genuinly an antique, but I know enough to say these are old...

I need some help ID ing my latest finds:

The last 2 photos one may be a form of Echeveria Amoena. I've seen many different Amoenas and have one similar that gets really orange tip in heat. The next to last one may be Ice Green (echeveria). The other 2 (second and third) look like new hybrids, I'd try Filckr, search Echeveria with nievesgirl or manue64. You don;t have a perl von nurnberg here, they are all Echeveria for sure. They're beautiful!

Help ID'ing some succulents

#2 looks like jade - Crassula ovata, that needs some help. I think I see some water in saucer below it? (I am talking about pic/plant #2, not the original one). Not sure, but if yes, that water needs to be disposed off. Mix that succulents are potted in needs to dry out between watering. Leaving excess water in the saucer will just keep soil too wet for too long. Especially if it is water-retaining. Your soil should not stick to perlite so much - either there is too much peat in the soil you used, and/or something is too wet. Sorry for repeating myself - I said same in your other post. But it is important to make sure of good drainage = both soil and container. Use wooden stick-dowel with sharpened end-chopstick to check soil deep inside of pot to make sure it is dry enough before watering. Looking or checking just the surface could be misleading. In winter, many succulents need less water and especially if in cooler locations. Your last plant needs to get rejuvenated to make sure of correct ID - there are few plants that look alike and could be more difficult to ID unless in better condition.

Would still love to see the bottom...
They look Japanese to me, not sure why I say that but for the design in the bowls.
Are they stoneware? pottery?...are the bottoms all glazed? Do they have stilt marks in the bottom of the bowls or on the bottom?
Sorry I don't have any good ideas, but think we need to know more.

You know Linda, you might have something there. It's not typical of any designs I've seen from local potteries, and I've seen a lot of them. Even the shape of the bowl itself isn't typical.

I found these bowls on Ebay, it is Robinson Ransbottom. They call it the Zephrus pattern. According to this auction they were made in the 1940's. This set shows five bowls, it looks like you are missing a yellow one. But they are beautiful and quite unique.

Looks like you got a good find.

I have 2 pieces of that pottery! One small shallow bowl in pink that I use for a cat food dish and a blue pitcher. They are unmarked and I have wondered for years where they were made - I have always liked that design! I collect old mixing bowls and always have an eye out for them - they are very pretty!
