First and most important , Heidi wants seeds for growing Jerky Tenders-Duck Dog Treats. She likes them a lot and thanks you for sending them to her. We both liked all the goodies you sent. A great suprise gift. Also she says she thinks this bag isn't quite right. Send a couple more bags so she can compare them....she only needs a few dozen bags more to hold her over until her seeds grow...if you can send some. :) Several people who got the seeds I donated have E mailed me with Thank you E Mails and questions. You are all welcome. The seeds were a combination of non isolated and isolated seeds.From peoples gardens (and mine) and trades. If any seeds grow some interesting crosses let me know. I'm interested in trading for some of the crossed seeds. Some people asked if I wanted seeds back in return after harvest. If anyone wants to get in touch with me about having seeds they want to give me thats cool. I'll find them a good home. I'm also always up for a trade for stuff to freshen up my collection or add to it. I do a LOT of SASBE offers and extra seeds for any kind of non bell pepper is always welcome,no matter what kind of chile it is. I try to help a lot of the "Chile impaired" get access to non bell peppers when I can. I don't grow anything,right now but non bell peppers. No flowers or other veggies.I have limited growing space and lost some of it last year. Thanks for the offers of veggie seeds but I just can't use them right now. If I find another place to garden in I might be able to grow more stuff latter on. Thanks for the seed offers. Once again Heather ,thanks for doing this every year. I'm sure a lot of people are getting access to seeds they might not have otherwise been able to grow and harvest.

Hi, everyone! Mmmm, apple cider doghnuts. I've only had those once, and we ate the whole bag within 15 minutes of leaving the orchard. They're scrumptious! Ollierose, I try to know the botanical names for the plants I grow, (or at least list them with it) so I only look up botanical names that seem really familiar, because those may be seeds I can send in and I'm just not making the right mental connection. If I don't recognize it at all, it's not something I can send in. If you want to look things up, the fastest way I've found is 1. have the google toolbar 2. type the Latin and the word plantfiles 3. read all about it. That's also my first step in deciding if I want a plant, but I always look them up on a few sites, because they all have inaccuracies sometimes. I like to increase my chances for trades by making it easy for the trader to know that I have what they want, or they have what I want, by using both common names and latin. Except I'm sure I've neglected to do that completely :) It's another cold, grey day, and I have so much garden cleanup to do, still perennials to get in the ground, plus a couple hundred bulbs--but all I want to do is sit in front of the woodstove with my tiny kitten!

To those who received packets of veronica longifolia from Lindalana it is the best name I could come up with after doing search of Chiltern catalog. Original seed was received in a mix and even that I consulted couple of people working in the horticultural business still no recognition with 100% certainty. Plants themselves are very worthy to grow- 2-3 feet tall, with flowers similar to veronica/ veronicastrum, bloom very late summer early fall at same time with japanese anemones for good 4-5 weeks. Foliage has minty smell and deep tap root does not like transplant. Architectural, reseeds moderately, does not need support, strong stems, will take sun to part shade, plant it and forget it type of care. If you figure out it is something else please let me know, that plant has been so uncommon I can not find any references ...

I received my seed package today. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this for us. I can't wait to plant some of these new tomatoes in my garden this year.
