barton, thanks for the site but unless as a new born they are very different in color--as in bland/mud color that's not him. I just tried to send a pic with no success. I have Kodak easy share, is it possible to send using it?

I researched pool finishes a while back. Here's a site I saved. I did learn in the darker bottom pools the water does tend to not stay as cool as a lighter bottom. Being in Texas, I went with white. I also wanted to make sure I could see the bottom and any critters that may have jumped in!
