Beautiful photo!! Is your camera a Fuji? I remember reading that in a post, but I may be wrong. I have a Fuji S5100 and I love mine. I need to get a telephoto lens for it though for birds.

Frog's know where all the cool hangouts are. Last year during a particularly rainy period I had a little frog visitor that frequented my zebrina. Very nice contrast of the frog to the wine color in the leaves. I'm sure one will show up again this year.

Lol, I will stop coloring too when it all gets one color. I just have this big black patch in the back. They found something on the cat scan last night they need to do an MRI and get a closer look at it near the pituitary gland in his brain. I have been so worried I am exhausted. I couldn't even tell what I was trying to say in that last post. He is still very tired too. I hope we can still go this weekend but waiting to hear from the doctor if its ok or not and see how we are both feeling. He is in denial of course and outside working in the heat so I am watching him close and making him come in for breaks and drink water. I think he had heat exhaustion He passed out and had a siezure. Sure wish the ER doctor had told me more before she ran off and left. My sister's daughter in Georgia just had a baby and they had to remove her gallbladder this morning so she might be able to come either. Whats that song about if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all? Lol, things will get better. Just soooo tired.

Hi kristy, yes I do need to post photos again. I will soon. Everything is full of buds now and the nights have dropped into the high 50/low 60's. I try to post my photos in large groups because I am soooo lazy LOL. I don't mind posting them I just hate uploading to photobucket even with the bulk upload thingy. OMG Kristy, your DD has a new evil twin!!! I woke up this morning to a totally pink pomeranian. It is all my daughter's fault because she left a tube of maroon oil paint where the dog could get it. He chewed it up in the hallway outside her bedroom door ***on the light beige carpet*** OMG!!! its such a mess, and he tracked it all the way down the hallway too. Now I have to try to get red oil paint out of the carpet and off of a white pomeranian! I'm so mad I don't know which ones to kill first the kid or the dog LMAO!

I have taken a few pictures over the last few days while trying to figure out how to best post them. I finally did a composite and you can get to it at the link below. As you can see, its color changes with the temperature and the light in the room, and it appears I may have something along the line of a tree frog as the pads appear to be the sticky type. So, what should I do with it? I hate to doom it to death. I have a 2+ Ft. deep hole near the house where I am overwintering plants that is covered with leaves. Do you think it would stay alive if I placed it at the bottom and recovered it with leaves? We are to get temps in the mid 40's today, but rain is coming tomorrow or the next day. So far, we've not had the typical Iowa winter, and its been very mild, though we certainly could return to "normal" at any time. Comments/opinions? Here is a link that might be useful: Frog Pictures

Yes, the S5200. My first one fell into a bucket of fish water. This is the second one. I love it too.

This is kinda scary. When you lived in Tampa, almost every time you found a new critter, I found the same critter just a day or so later. Well, it's baaa-aaack! LOL! Yesterday in the refuge, I came across a Leopard Frog sitting in the road. I do believe it's the first one I've actually seen. Your pic is way better, though. I had to take mine from the idling truck. The zoom is great, but lighting wasn't.

Hmmm, is that a Leopard or a Pickerel Frog? Easier to tell down here, coz we don't have Pickerels. 8-]

Let's test it out. Next week I'll take a pic of a pot of gold and see what happens.

It's a leopard, definitely, and a lady at that. A pickerel would have square or rectangular "spots", and a male's ear spot would be as big, or bigger, than his eye. Great pic by the way.

Southern Leopard frog because of light spot in the center of it's tympanum. Your's has a lot of green which is pretty. Often they are more brown. CT
