I checked out Old Faithful which is exactly what I was envisioning but the cost is quite high. Does it really have sturdy stems or will it flop? I like Dad from the google images but haven't found a source yet.

I bought this lovely Hoya inconspicua as a cutting from Denise last fall. This plant is quickly becoming a favorite, it rooted fast and grows even faster. I have mine in a West window where it gets a lot of light, and it has a peduncle of buds getting ready to open. I am so excited to see these little pink flowers open up! This is a great Hoya, I have to say. Definitely one of the easy ones, and makes waiting for flowers on some much easier.

We freeze the pollen. We use microcentrifuge tubes (some people use match boxes, pill boxes, or contact containers. I pull the stamens out and put them on a paper plate to dry for two days. Then I pull the anthers off and put them in a labeled tube. You have to be careful concerning the filament. It can stay stick and moist for a while. Moisture will ruin the pollen. I store the tubes in a box made especially for them. We have used 2 year old pollen, but I have no idea how long the pollen is viable in the freezer. Here is a picture.

I can not imagine ever being a fan of stippling. I have fought spider mites for too long and that's what it reminds me of. However, I can see why others might find it attractive in a different sort of way......... My favorite is Hillside Bright and Early. I like the combination of warm yellow and maroon. I hope you post more of it............Maryl
