Well my vacation is over, and I didn't have much time to herp, in that I was with two non-herper friends.

On the way I found a Five Lined Skink and an Eastern Garter at a gas station.

First stop was a cabin in Gatlinburg TN just outside of the Smoky Mountains. Outside our cabin and around the mountain we were staying on I found the following:

10+ Bark or Wood Scorpions (lifer)

10+ Five Lined Skinks

5+ Eastern Fence Lizards

1 juvy Eastern Box Turtle

2 Northern Ringneck Snakes

3 Eastern Worm Snakes (lifer)

Up in the mountains I found the following:

1 Seal Salamander

4 Mountain Dusky Salamanders

1 Slimy Salamander

10+ Red Cheeked Appalachian Woodland Salamanders

3 Blue Ridge Two Lined Salamanders

Onwards to Macon GA, outside the house we were staying at I found:

Many Gray Treefrogs

American Toads

Bronze Frogs

Five Lined Skink

Green Anole

Went to Savannah for a day and saw:

American Alligator (lifer)

Yellowbelly Slider (lifer)

Osprey (lifer)

Green Anoles

On the way to the next location we found several Yellowbelly Sliders crossing the road and one unidentified Black Snake crossing, probably a Racer.

Next was New Orleans, across the river in Algiers I found:

50+ Squirrel Treefrogs (lifer)

6 Gulf Coast Toads (lifer)

Mediterranian Geckos (lifer)

Unidentified Frog (for me, I know unheard of!), possibly a Greenhouse Frog? (lifer)

NBext stop was The Myrtles Plantation in St Francisville LA, there I found:

Green Treefrogs

Gray Treefrogs

Gulf Coast Toads

Red Eared Sliders

Medditeranian Geckos

also I accidentaly smuggled a green Anole back with me in a bag of Spanish Moss I collected, that the cat found later (don't worry, shes fine).

Nothing terribly exciting but I got a few lifers, my first Alligator, an Osprey, and got to see some cool parts of teh country I never saw before. Not to mention the overwhelming craziness of New Orleans.
