Snake ID...Calling Wayne!

Or Mike, or anyone with more knowledge than I! A friend posted on the Florida Forum with pictures of a juvenile snake her father found. My best guess is yellow rat snake, but I find juvies confusing, and would like confirmation. Would one of you REAL herpers take a look? You can post a reply right in that thread, or answer here, and I'll get back to her, whichever you prefer.

I would appreciate any help you can offer. I'm always trying to get folks down here to leave the snakes alone, and in this case, they released it unharmed. So I'd like to be able to tell them what it was, and that they did a good thing. (I know it wasn't one of our venomous ones, but I'm curious myself. I googled around and would like to know if my guess is right.)

THANKS so much!!!

Marcia
