Keep Squirrels Away From Feeders

I have pole hangers for my feeders, but still the squirrels could climb them or jump up them, and even tho the feeders were "squirrel-proof", the squirrels would knock them down or chew them up. So I put vaseline on the poles, from the ground to about 1.2 -way up the poles and made sure there were not any tree branches close for the squirrels to jump from. No vaseline anywhere that a bird would touch, however. The squirrels have left my yard!

When i was ground-feeding, I put red pepper flakes in the birdseed, and after one taste, the squirrels left that alone.
