Finally got a picture!

Can anyone tell me what this bird is? I live in coastal Georgia. They are hanging out in my Mimosa trees, eating the seed pods. About the size of a sparrow.

Maybe a pine warbler? Doesn't look like anything in my bird books.

Never mind. Took the picture over to Wild Birds Unlimited. They ID'd it as a Northern Parula Warbler. Also showed me some cool bird apps for my iPad!

Wow! I never would have guessed Parulas! You managed a great pic-better than most views of them I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

Might be an Eastern Phoebe. Looks like it has the "Phoebe smudge" on the sides of its chest & a thin eye ring.

Its a duck, a green wing teal I believe. Birds have a number of predators, small and medium mammals, other birds, reptiles. Could be a hawk or owl, or a cat or fox or raccoon. Squirrels even will raid nests I believe.
