this is from the GardenWeb terms of service. Basically if you upload to their servers your content is fair game. "By submitting content, which shall include your member name, to any "public area" of the GardenWeb Network, including, but not limited to, the forums and your personal website, exchange page and journal, you grant iVillage a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right (including any moral rights) and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, sublicense, assign, derive revenue or other remuneration from, communicate to the public, perform and display the content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, for the full term of any Rights that may exist in such content. If you are not the creator of such content, you also warrant that the holder of any Rights, including moral rights in such content, has completely and effectively waived all such rights and validly and irrevocably granted to you the right to grant the license stated above. Most other website that allow uploading of content have the same TOS. Now if you own the Server and the website then you have a bit more "rights" When i share a photo I realize that now it is public and could be taken and used elsewhere. Hi Strokesnstitches, what a darling forum name! Sounds like you love to paint and sew. ;o) When I think snowman faces, usually Jaime Mills Price or Laurie Speltz come to mind. You could probably find some of their books at www.artistsclub.com. Also, on our gallery section here, there are some cute painted lightbulbs that Paintingfool shared. That same face would probably work good for the wooden balls. To find the gallery, just look towards the top middle of the page on here and you will see "exchanges, gallery, conversations". We have four sections on this forum and you can click on any one of them and join in. Hope you will come back and share pics of your projects when they are finished. Sorry not what I am looking for, I have 2 great photo editing programs now, I viewed some ones slideshow of Christmas photo's and it was kewl, they actually had objects walking across the bottom such as a snowman etc., wondering how they added those?

The only way to share photos at ancestry is if you put them on your tree or if you give them to someone who has a tree there and they put them on. As far as finding things that "belong" to your family. You will find it. Why do you think we paid the money for access? ancestry and the LDS church and plenty of other web sites/businesses scan thousands of books and ledgers to put on their web sites. Other people index them and when you do a search for a specific name, that's how the name is found. I know I would never in a million years have been able to travel to all the places my ancestors lived and found the books with their birth, baptism, marriage, death, taxes, land ownership, and on and on. Can you imagine the time and expense! If you have cemetery monument photos that you want to post, by all means sign up at findagrave. It's free. You will have to create the person's page unless someone has already done it. Then upload your pictures. If you are willing to take photos for others who can't get to your area, there's a place to tick to say you will do that. You and everyone within a certain distance of that cemetery will get an email that there's been a request for a photo for Susie Smith at Podunk cemetery. If you want to do it, claim it. If you don't, delete the email.
