Kirk, after using the mod podge to glue it to rock, I put about three coats of it on top letting each dry well between. Then when they were "cured", I used Krylon poly spray. Again several coats. I do keep it in shade since our sun so intense but might do ok in sunlight. I hope you do a bear or more. I'm going to do more rocks. Brought a box of different size smooth ones home that day, thinking I'd paint on them. But since I can't draw (I do trace very well, LOL), this sure is a simple way to get good art instead. I'm always saving pix off the Internet or eBay to use "someday". If you print off any pictures, use the regular printing paper and NOT the photo paper if you're decoupaging. hugs, Karen

frostynyc - it was a dinky tc in a cell when I got it - planted near the edge of another hosta - figured 2 nibbles by a rabbit and it was gone. Excited to see it back the following year. As stated above - moved it a couple of times - never seemed to affect it. Lot of white in this one so I doubt many would consider it a good grower. Been about the same size the last 3 years (6 eyes). The hosta to the right is Wide Brim. Babka - definitely small, but not mini. 2nd flush of leaves makes a nice difference to how it looks. When I started leaving my Oak Leaves on the gardens over winter, was concerned it would have problems - but OK both years. I do make a point to clear leaves off it in spring, especially if it is very wet. hey_j have the g-kids watch for fireflies - just saw the first ones this week. Paul

I am completely recovered from that nasty concussion, jaw is all healed and i have been back to work for the past 2 1/2 weeks! You might have seen that I have already been deep sea fishing and this Sunday I am taking my kayak out on Newport Bay. Can't wait! Can't find too many friends or family who enjoy kayaking as much as I do, so I went to meetup.com and found some new friends who DO! Ha! There is group at that link for EVERY interest.
