thank you for the fast responses.after hearing,i did look a little on ebay at navajo rugs......saw such a wide range from $30 to 1500....this one looks old with some staining and wear.so may not be very desirable. i know a local person he runs big auctions on proxybid.i may give it to hime and see if it lands somewhere on the food chain.....not expecting much myself.but i guess will find out.thanks again to all.

about the only thing that will knock this type of thing back.. is severe repeated drought ... and two large dogs who trample the heck out of it ... that piece will probably root ... in a glass of water .... you could probably propagate a bunch of it.. by filling a flat with media... and laying/sticking a bunch of pieces on top .. and setting it all in shade .... and by fall most will be rooted .. with just a little water now and then ... unless its the one sedum in the universe ... that is somehow foo foo .. lol ... ken

@hc mcdole thank you so much for all of the information and the wonderful pictures! Yes, he got them from Kroger! I was shocked as they are nothing like the typical plants I always see there so I went the next day to see what else may be there that he decided to pass over and there was a huge red and green maranta that stopped me in my tracks! It was splayed out in the center of the table and taking most of the space- so other plants were around....and on it. I would have taken it home then but would have needed more space so planed to return after my son's karate class.....well we know how this story goes! It was of course GONE and I was heartbroken yada yada lol but back to the ones my husband did get- the begonia was BEAUTIFUL day one and two as you can see from the pic.....but by the 3rd 4th day before I finally had time to repot it this weeked) it started declining rapidly. I think it was in too went soil for too long. The very tips started to fold down then the leaves started to get darker and soggy looking then crispy one by one. There are a few large leaves that still are darkened like this about halfway, but the smaller leaves were just crispy and barely hanging on. The roots were....okay as far as I could tell during the repot, Im just not sure if it will bounce back from this or not. Im hoping so its a beautiful plant. Would you suggest I do anything in particular?

Angela, I'm in agreement with RoseCanadian. I also see no Rose Rosette Virus symptoms on the rose in the photo, none. Sorry for your experience so far with this dreaded disease. I got my introduction to RRV last fall of 2022. Two venerable old bushes, a Quietness and the climber, Lady Ashe got it. Never had it before then, ever, and it has not reared its ugly head so far, a year later now. I planted a Queen of Elegance pretty much directly in the spot where the Quietness grew. The Quietness was dug up in September, 2022, and the Queen of Elegance was planted in May, 2023. It grew slowly but steadily all season long, and has shown no signs of RRV to this day. The climber, Lady Ashe, was discovered to be infected in only one single growing tip, far out from the crown, about 7' out. No other place on the bush showed any signs what so ever. I pruned the infected growth out last fall then, hoping that would be sufficient. A particularly severe Polar Vortex hit twice last winter and killed most of my roses down to the ground, including Lady Ashe. This past spring diseased growth sprang from the base of Lady Ashe! I was spellbound! There was no way I could dig this Lady Ashe out, its its"trunk," was about 4" across at its base. So I pruned aall the canes as close to the ground as possible and took aa brand new sawsall to it, purchased specifically for this job, and could not sever the roots successfully. Lady Ashe is one tough girl! My only recourse was to herbicide spray the growth which was less than a foot high. It succumbed immediately. That was done this past spring, 2023. I feel confident that by spring, 2024, no further growth will be seen and I can say confidently that the likelihood of any RRV remaining in the dead Lady Ashe is remote to none. My advice to you is to keep diligently aware of your roses' state of growth. Nip any further/future RRV symptoms in the bud, no pun intended, and continue growing roses. That's what I and most RRV victims have done. Take heart! Moses
