Please help me with my pots . . .

Question 1:

I finally got my hands on a Little Honey Oakleaf hydrangea, and I'm hoping it will do as well as my regular Oakleaf Hydrangea. I'm thinking of moving in a year or two and was wondering if ya'll thought it might grow in a large pot in a shaded area. The pot gets watered by the sprinkler system on a regular basis. If so, what kind of soil would I put in the pot?

Question 2:

I'm looking for an evergreen plant to put in a pot in a shaded protected area. (gets plenty of water). I had a gardenia in the pot for about 2 years, but it's getting rather leggy. I've had to move it to a sunnier location. Now, I'm looking for it's replacement!

It probably would make it, but make sure you have good drainage soil in the pot. One thing though. Everything does better in the ground. Why not plant it somewhere it move it down the line? My regular Oakleaf has transplanted well.

I also spray it with one of the following, not all of them AT THE SAME TIME. Saffer's soap, soap and water with greese in it. Neem oil, Windex, alconol diluted spray, Amways soap with coconut, hair shampoo with coconut oil. ( Yardley's), any brand of Cactus pest spray. Use a new clean pot. Do NOT use Peat Moss in the soil. I think it was a milk bowl for a hand cranked cream separator. See the link below to see a similar item and its relation to the other parts. The round hole at the bottom would have been fitted with a spigot to control the flow of raw milk into the separator. You may have to manually copy this link to your url address bar.
