Bluebirds nesting

We have a bluebird box with a nest cam which is wonderful. We have had 3 nest with a total of 6 fledglings. The last nest (no.3) was built within a few days of the last little ones leaving the nest. Three eggs were laid, one egg dissappeared so we had 2 eggs left. The female set on the eggs a little but not as much as usual....the heat index here has been in the 100s so assumed it was because of the heat. The eggs were laid the 1st week of July. Yesterday, the female started building another nest on top of the eggs and nest already in the box. The male seem to be trying to tell her not to...flapping his wings and all when he saw her with the 1st piece of straw in her beak. Today the eggs were almost completely covered. Can someone please tell me if I should remove the previous nest and eggs? Do you think there was a problemwith the eggs? I am afraid they are getting too close to the entrance hole. Not sure what is going on. We have never had this to happen before.
