Looks like that's a nice place to camp! Where is the park located?
I haven't got started with the camping bit just yet. Our first one is in May, at Richeyville, PA., along Rt. 40, once named The National Road! I think it was the first road to the Western part of the country!
Every year, the locals all along the road have a celebration to commemorate it, with flea markest, garage sales, dances, chicken roasts, Bluegrass music, a wagon train that goes from Washington, Pa. to Uniontown, Pa.
A lot of our local bluegrass bands go to Richeyville, to the Waleski Horse Farm, where they entertain in the barn, on Friday night, all day Saturday, and church on Sunday! The wagon train stops there on Sunday afternoon!
We have a swell time! Anybody in that area is welcome to come and enjoy the music! No charge for entertainment! Food is sold on the farm! Free parking, camping area, etc.

Rusty, the campground is northeast of seattle. From seattle, you go north on I-5 to Burlington. Then east on highway 20 for about 40 miles (the park is 8 miles east of Cocncrete, WA). It is a great spot. Lots of nice hiking.

Wow ...thats awesome! Looks like Jurrassic park! Expect to see a dinosaur walk out from behind those trees!!

Great picture! I love that area. My sister lived in Anacortes for years and when we would visit, we liked to drive up through Concrete.
This is probably a dumb question, but how were the showers at this park? I had my first experience with pay showers at a Washington State park last year and was NOT impressed. In Oregon the park showers are free and much nicer or at least much nicer then the one I experienced. I'm curious if this was a fluke or are the pay showers generally crummy?

They just painted the bathroom when I was there, so they weren't too bad. Actually, where I was, there was a bathroom with one shower in it. I didn't use it. I am going there again this weekend so I will sneak a peak for ya! :)

Showers? No showers in Arizona camping. They want you to bring your own water. You haven't lived until you have used a desert porta pottie... 113 degrees, metal seat,
You can't hold your breath long enough to get in and out again. Eyes watering.... ever see a magazine in a porta pottie? It won't happen! No one could actually sit there and read!! Your contacts would curl up and pop out if you were in there for more than 44 seconds.

When the sign says "Primitive Facilities" I never knew how primitive. If I showered, I would probably use all the drinking water I had and when they found my dead, dehydrated, (though squeaky clean) body they would wonder:
"He had gallons of water.... what did he use it on?"

Oh, what I would give for a nice hollywood, long shower in
the desert.... ahhh....
