"My take on the current fuel 'crisis' is that the age of gasoline and Diesel is over. I doubt if you'll even be able to buy a new internal combustion-only new car within ten years. I could tell you what will replace oil-based fuels, but of course I would have to kill you LOL. I can say that it won't be alcohol. Anyone who has been paying attention will already know what the 'mystery fuel' is. Strangely enough, Jules Verne, who predicted many modern marvels in his books, also predicted the use of this fuel 'which burns with the heat of the sun' and produces no harmful emissions. The current surge in oil prices is actually because of this new fuel. Everyone in the oil business is trying to grab as much profit as they can before the oil crash, which will be the most dangerous time in history. They know that once this is really 'out of the bag' (which it already is, but most people don't believe it) they will have lost control of this huge share of the energy market. Think about the ramifications" Just thought it was funny that there are six months left on this prediction and car lots are swimming in brand new internal combustion only vehicles and fuel prices are relatively cheap. I predict they will be around for a long time to come.

I'm in the same boat with zuke and yellow squash in a raised planter. The planters were meant just as seed starters to then transplant, but I kept putting it off, and now the plants are too large to transplant. Mine were draping over the side, too, and stems getting "cut" from the pressure at the edge of the planter. I put a short stake in the planter and am slowly training the vines to grow vertical. I cut several of the lower leaves so there's a decent "stem" exposed that I loosely tied to the stake; very very loosely, to not break the vine. As the plant gets used to the vertical shape, I've been tying them tighter/closer, little by little, to the stake so they're starting to look more upright. There are still leaves/stems that are touching the edge of the planter, but nothing actually hanging over the edge now or getting cut by that 90 degree kink. My planters are 17" deep so there's enough dirt to hold the stake firmly in place. I first tried to put a small tomato cage around them but the vines were already too big and stems were breaking as I was trying to shove them through the cage. But the stake system seems to be working so far. Bonus - since the plants are about eye level (planter is almost 3' above ground plus I'm short), and they're growing vertically, looking under the leaves for pest egg masses is way easier than if they were in the ground! Good luck!

I have not seen this one, so here goes. By now, there are many renditions. ”Ken Lee” Followed by some entertaining comments This is a lesson in confidence. Confidence 1: Judge: "You mean Without You?" Singer: "No." Confidence 2: Judge: "What language is that?" Singer: "English." Boom. After she practiced more, improved her English. As much as it is great looking hosta I no longer want to deal with prima donnas. There was time when I wanted to prove something to myself and tried growing plants that were not suitable to my zone, climate or landscape, grow them from seeds collected from all over the world. There are just so many wonderful hostas out there, really exciting times! Good luck to you, this specimen looks very healthy.
