Jan, YEP, that too was the day it snowed in Palmdale. My older son Sean was in Palmdale that day and told me about that. I know some who really GET snow are laughing at me---but to me that IS snow even though it didn't stay. Good for you getting your baking done! I'm in the process of finishing up a whole lotta glass flowers for selling this Saturday and a friends vendor sale. I've come up with a new display and now I have a big truck to put more of them in! :-)I took some photos of the finished ones yesterday and hope to post them soon. I'll be getting work/teacher gifts wrapped and the Christmas letter all printed up today. I still cannot believe it is December. It didn't seem like November was here at all! Have you not noticed the ever increasing pitch to their call, if you record it and play it backwards it says "The higher destruction of the garden the bigger the buffet" over and over again!! Just think of yourself this August lounging on your deck loftily thinking of your feathered family when suddenly you hear from the tree tops "OH MY GODÂthatÂs her the voyeur Â.and dee, I donÂt have the heart to tell you what comes nextÂI just hope you have a good laundry detergent. kt

Thank you for the yummy smelling vanilla bean simmering waffle bar. I like the smell of vanilla VERY much. Thank you also for the very pretty wind chimes. Pink with silver etching--just beautiful. I didn't put them out today after school, though, as the wind was reeealy blowing, and I was afraid something would happen to them. I will see what tomorrow holds. I googled the brodiaea Queen Fabiola bulbs that you sent. I was really clueless.(what's new sometimes) They look like my favorite color of blue!!! THANK you! I esPECially loved your letter. So newsy and sweet. Plus a nice selection of seeds to divide between our friends. Beth, your seeds are here, too, along with a number of fulfilled wishes. I want to thank you for the darling little soft brown puppy with the dark brown ears and wearing BUNNY EARS! It is so darn cute! Poor thing is trying to lug around this clear carrot filled with jelly bean eggs. Patty, I forgot to thank you for the seeds that you sent to me-tall green nicotiana and milk chocolate foxglove. I am absolutely THRILLED!!! As I have said to the rest of you, I think you will also be happy when you see what seeds you will be getting, too. Since this thread is so close to 100, I believe I will be starting back at 1 sometime this evening. Mellon--Lovely, lovely package. So generous and thoughtful!! She sent me a ton of stuff. My friend Mare is visiting and she remarked "It's just like Christmas!!". Oh, yah. She's been helping me get my dahlias in the ground because I have an injured left wing. Mellon gifted me with TWO hostas 'Chinese Sunrise' & 'Plantangea'. Heucherra 'Can Can'; Daylily 'Erin Leah'; Wigalea 'Ruby Glow'; and a big fat bulb of lilia 'Black Beauty'. Love, love, love it all. Everything was well wrapped and packaged. Thank you very much, it was a wonderful package. Oh wait, and a hilarious (and oh-so- true) card with a nice note inside.
