Comments (4)Thanks for the replies. For what it's worth, I went with a Primos TruthCam 35 which has been reasonably good. To get better footage, I'd probably need to dedicate more power to the endeavor. (In trying to prolong battery charge, I've sacrificed trigger speed, so I get a lot of tail ends.)...See MoreFamily portrait over fireplace?
Comments (70)crl, i see a lot of questions here where people question their sense of style or their taste or ability to see color, etc... or seek affirmation on their choices made... even questions about how high to hang a piece of artwork make sense to me if you don't have an eye for things like that and don't want to create more work for yourself of repairing holes... but, that's different to me than questioning whether a family picture should be placed on the mantel... i am sure some people do need to discuss things more than i do even tho i am a 'hem and hawer' myself about certain things and have some serious cognitive dissonance sometimes, but i know i would never get anything done if i needed to talk everything over... there's nothing wrong with being a 'rule follower' tho, if he/she is!...See MoreRelatively large portrait of a stranger- too weird? or fun?
Comments (112)I do like it lower for two reasons.. a) I imagine I mostly look at it while I sit (which might or might not be true) b) I personally like when the upper.. lines of things are of different heights..it's my own, sometimes weird thing, my DH is totally different in that regard for example. I like when, say, the painting is not same height with hutch and the window, But as I myself have some art that's deliberately hung too low or too high, because only I know how I see it better(and I think I should see it better, because I'm the one who's 24/7 in the house, after all)-I understand it must be about your inner balance with the painting, as much as it must be about its place within the room. She's gorgeous in any case, and congratulations! (and no, she's not a great example of socialist realism)))...See More- 14 years ago
