I love all birds...don't have many now due to too many feral cats that use my gardens for litter box and sleep in my flowerbeds on my flowers. The Mockingbirds are fun; love to hear all the various noises they make and the hopping/winging they do when in search of food. One in our neighborhood makes the sound of a squeaky gate hinge. Two summers ago we were blessed with a family of 4; babies followed both parents begging for food. The Western King Bird has arrived and entertains me while I sit in my back garden under the Hackberry...they dive from the utility lines after flying insects. They are a gutsy bird, taking on buzzards and hawks. The Collared Doves are courting with daring dives from the top of utility poles. I love Spring!! Peggy

I'm happy to be back in northern Michigan this morning, where the temps are nice and cool and I can get some much-needed outdoor chores done. It looks like most of you used to watch the same shows I did. Of course, it's not like we had a lot of different choices back then. Four channels was it for me on the best days. No one has specifically listed the shows yet so here they are, just in case there is any doubt in anyone's mind. 1. All In The Family 2. Gilligan's Island 3. The Dukes of Hazzard 4. The silicone spray did the trick. Now you hear the doors roll (a nice sturdy sound) but the squeaks are gone. The walls are being closed as I type. Thanks to both of you for jump starting my battle weary brain this morning with your ideas.

Ha!! Duke of Earl by Gene Chandler....always liked that song!!! My movie is State Fair! Pretty good movie! justterrilynn, A Summer Place is a great movie; very scandalous for it's time. Richard Egan and Dorothy Maguire are wonderful in it; Sandra Dee and Troy Donohue are fine but I enjoy Dorothy Maguire. There are a few renditions of the Theme from A Summer Place but my favorite is by the Percy Faith Orchestra, which is the version you hear in the movie.
