I'm so sorry. Yes, I think it's normal to feel like you've been hit with a sledgehammer/run over by a truck/body-slammed by a sumo wrestler. & especially when you've lost your parents; this changes your very identity, & it doesn't matter how young or old you are. My 86-year-old friend told me one day, after we went Christmas shopping, that her parents always gave her a doll for Christmas; seeing people buying dolls for their children made her realize all over again that she was nobody's little girl any more. I do urge you, though, based on some of my own experience, to make some actual, face-to-face contact with more than one person. It's so easy to become isolated, & isolation does make things worse, & it prolongs the grieving time. One key to making contact is to set yourself the task of getting out of the house & doing one specific thing every day, & make is flexible so that you can do it even on a bad day. (One of my 'daily requirements' was to initiate contact with a real-life person every day. Some days I would drop by a friend's home or office to say hello or to bring her a grocery coupon or a paperback book or some such, & some days all I could manage was to tell the grocery check-out person that her nails looked nice. so even on a bad day, I accomplished my task). Thanks for all the really great replies!! Maingrower - it was a complete tear off, sorry I didn't make that clear. Everyone else, yes, it looks unattractive, but we've discovered it's as a few of you were guessing - it's proper and water tight. I've been stressed and swamped the last few days and my parents are here as well, so I apologize for not getting back sooner. Our neighbors (both experienced in the trades), 1 of which was actually home during parts of the install both say they did a good and proper job. So I am content as far as that goes. Now, as far as them dinging up the houses on both sides due to serious carelessness, that's another story, but the roofer is working it out to their satisfaction. Basically the protection they put up on each side during the tear off came down before they were done tearing off. And then there's the electric on a small portion of the front of the house (2 lights and 2 outlets) that has suddenly stopped working. I think the wires were run through the ceiling in that area, which is right under the roof. No crawl, likely no insulation. There's a licensed/bonded electrician they are sending out next week to take care of that. And some other minor stuff also being taken care of. And no, we will not be paying them until everything is 100%. Sigh. Why does it have to be so difficult?

It's entirely possible she ate a little something that didn't agree with her. I have two cats, a 1.5 year old and a 4 year old. The 4 year old has thrown up twice since I got her at 8 weeks and the one year old once. All three times due to something they found on the floor, or wherever, and it didn't sit well. Obviously nothing major as it was only one vomit each time, and they were fine afterwards. The first time my eldest threw up was because she got in the sink and found a tiny bit of chocolate milk in a cup. The other two, I've got no clue what made them sick. Oh, we've also only had one hairball in the last 4 years. Nows a good time to switch to adult, but I wouldn't stick with science diet. There are way better foods, dispite vets recommendations of what they sell at the vets office. I use chicken soup for the soul adult cat, and it isn't that expensive and the quality is a lot better.
