need advice

Hello,

My blues were on their 2nd nesting. The last egg was laid May 31, there were 4 eggs. I had seen mamma there sitting every day, and figured they should be hatched by now. Haven't seen her for several days, so I checked the box and the 4 eggs were fine. I've seen pappa several times around the box, last evening he went in several times and hung around the box for a long time. No mamma today still. I can hear bluebird chatter but can't tell if it's him or her, can't spot it only hear it. I can't see any problems in the box, and the nest looks the same as always. Should I be looking for something particular? I'm confused because pappa is still hanging around the box. I thought if there was some problem and they abandoned the nest that'd be it, no more visits. I did see a female late last week with a male and I thought it was the pair in the box. They were checking out another box in a different part of the yard, then flew off so I don't know if it was a different pair or not. Since then I've just seen the one male described as above. I worry something happened to the female. Every time I hear a bluebird I run and look to see if I can find it.

I'm assuming I should just leave things alone to see what happens? I can check the nest again if there's something I should be looking for, but i'll leave it alone otherwise.

Thanks for any advice.
