bird ID help in NYC

Hi all!

I live in NYC, in an area with a good number of trees and access to some large woodland-type parks about a mile awayÂ.

Today I saw a very pretty slate blue/grey birdÂdarker color than the slate blue of a titmouseÂbut not as dark as a juncoÂ.solid color over entire body, eyes and beak..the only color variation is that on the crown of his head, there is a slightly darker strip of colorÂ

He was solitaryÂ

He had a "long tail" similar to say a cardinal or a mockingbirdÂ.

His beak was somewhat flat and a bit longÂsimilar to maybe a nuthatchÂ

He wasnÂt as long as a cardinal, and his midsection was a bit "stout" or puffy.

Any ideas what he might be?
