Well...I appreciate all your responses, and I'm going to assume it's a common garter snake...for my OWN peace of mind...LOL I believe he was so grumpy because of the flash from the camera...it probably scared the bejeezus out of'm. Plus...I'm wondering if it isn't the onset of hibernation time. I mean, afterall, he WAS way down under some pretty hard, clay covered by about 4" of mulch. He was probably sleeping...or getting his last full meal of night crawlers when I uncovered him. *I'm in SE PA, not Florida at the moment. He's gone now and I don't know where...hehehe...but I covered the hole back up with the mulch. BTW: When I let Picture it! automatically tweak the color and brightness levels, the colors of the snake were changed a bit. Here are two pics showing actual color...

Feather, our local birding expert also went with female Baltimore at first (he's still studying it and hopes to come see the bird today). I am really surprised. I have not seen female Baltimores this yellow/green and with so little head color. Am I mistaken on that? (obviously so). As for rarity - a Western Tanager is seen in our area about once every 5-10 years and it is always a male. Is that because the females aren't recognized but are thought to be orioles? It is hanging around some with the orioles, certainly loves the grapes. To my mind though, it behaves a bit differently. She seems calmer and less flitty on the feeder poles. When I drove up last night, all the orioles flew away, she did not. We put together this little collage using our pictures of her (mystery bird) and a couple pics stolen off the web (my apologies to whoever took those pics). This definitely sways my mind, but I'll let all of you take a look and see what you think. I need to go search for Baltimore females to see if I find one like our girl.

Yay! I think you got some for sure! I know based on the fact that I threw 16 some odd photos at you guys it seems like I’m too lazy to look it up myself but I swear I scoured pinterest and these were the ones that evaded me i assume pachyphytum is the puffy guy in pic 1 with 3 leaves. I thought that was just a super puffy Eche! I think that’s it! But I think I’ll have to wait until it gets bigger to narrow down the particular pachyphytum it is. Impossible to tell at this stage. The long stem of the Sempervivum threw me off but I see it now. Which is great because I killed every Semp I ever owned so I finally kept one alive! I actually own a Fang but the mother leaf looks so different compared to this mother leaf, I second guessed it. Google shows both shapes though! omg, who knew how many different types of rhipsalis exist and they all look almost identical! I searched for one with just the right amount of fuzz. I think it may be Rhipsalis Ewaldiana! The graptopetalum changed itself to graptoveria silver star but it’s spot on! Thank you very much :) I think I can check them all off my list now!
