Wet diapers during the night-10 week old DS
Comments (1)My DD is 12 weeks and sometimes she has light diapers in the am and sometimes they are really wet because I don't usually change them unless she wakes up fully during the night either. Of course she usually waits until I have changed her and then as soon as the new diaper is on lets loose....See MoreA Fall down 13 Steps--What A Stressful Night (LONG)!!!!
Comments (9)This reminds me of when I had DS in the car seat on the kitchen counter. He was 5 months old. I was standing in front of him feeding him rice cereal. I backed away TWO STEPS to the refrigerator and he arched his back and the car seat tipped forward and he slid out- right onto the kitchen floor like a burial at sea. I was in a panic. He cried like crazy for the first 5 minutes or so then got really quiet. Like he was falling asleep. I was home alone with him at the time and I freaked out. Kept thinking his little brain was bleeding or swelling or something awful, so I called 911. They sent the cops AND and ambulance but when the cops got here he perked right up the little stinker. Took him over to the ER anyway just to be sure, but boy I was a wreck. Felt like the worst mother on the planet. Just this week my 2 1/2 yo DD ran full speed smack into the dining room buffet thing. Hit it so hard it knocked her back on her behind. It actually put a crease in her skin on her forehead. Scared the wits out of me It it totally awful when your baby gets hurt. Thanks God they seem to be made of rubber sometimes. BTW, the ER doc said unless they "loose consciousness", it's usually fine. Also check their pupils. If they're equal in size and they react to light, that's another good sign. But that throwing up thing would have scared me, too....See MoreSaw a fox during the night
Comments (15)We live in Central Toronto and have been warned by Animal Control to watch out for coyotes in the area. We have a dog - 22 lbs., but people with large dogs, being walked on leash, have had their dogs attacked by coyotes. Raccoons and skunks are a nuisance, coyotes are a whole different ball game. Of course I understand that we are taking over their natural habitat, but that would be small comfort if I had to do battle for my dog's life - which I would do - the coyotes would have to take out both of us. Animal Control has suggested that people take down their bird feeders - I feel sorry for the birds, but ... A friend of mine has a red fox living in her back yard. Her husband thought she was making it up until they came face to face. He tried to scare the fox off - not happening. I have bought a small air horn just in case we encounter the coyotes....See MoreDog suddenly needing to 'go' during the night
Comments (12)Could very well be. Something to review in your head:. Why did you change food in The first place: cost, better quality, shopping convenience? The reason I ask is b/c if you changed from bad to better and then are now changing from better back to bad just so she doesn't pee mid-night, the dog's best interest suffers. I'm not suggesting your health and well being is less imp than the pooch's, you NEED uninterrupted rest, but don't discard the possibility of a compromise (food wise) satisfactory to both of you. No judging, just something to consider....See Morechickadeemelrose
