A day of 'lifers'

Sorry to say I did not have a camera (well I did have my phone and used it for a couple photos, but not worth posting here)... anyway, last Sunday I went to my local nature center in SE WI looking for warblers. What I found were several lifers for me. I've only been at this a few years so this list is probably pedestrian for some, but I did get all these in the span of about 30 minutes.

In order as I found them:

Prothonotary Warbler

Black-Throated Green Warbler

American Redstart (this one was awesome in person)

Scarlet Tanager

Chestnut-Sided Warbler

Magnolia Warbler

Eastern Towhee (male and female kicking around together)

Great-Crested Flycatcher

I also spotted a Thrush I couldn't ID and a few Flycatchers I couldn't ID. The last Flycatcher I saw up close was pretty much olive colored all over with darker wings. He was in the shade so it was hard to do much with that and I really don't know the Flycatchers at all since I've spent most of my birding near feeders.

I guess it pays to get out in the spring and look around.

Want to get back there before thay all move on...

Next time I'll bring a camera.
