That's a White-winged dove.

The white streak on the wing = whitewing dove.

They are large, like short-legged pigeons.

What is this Dove? I have about a hundred of these under the feeders in the morning. Only thing is everyday a hawk scoops down and grabs one of them and flys off. What type of hawk is this? Pic is not clear as it was taken the other day from a long distance. thnx Russ

Sharp Shined hawks love Doves. It's nesting time, you may want to quit feeding the Doves for a while so you don't have so may orphaned Dove babies.

Also had this guy in the yard last summer. He was a lot whiter than shows up in the picture.

see that black collar on its neck that is a trademark of the eurasian collared dove they were an imported species but are now in just about every state. they usually do not migrate exept to maybe go to a lower elevation in winter and they have multiple broods year around and are now on the hunting seasons in many states in the fall hunting.
