Exterior paint color suggestions for Mediterranean-style home?
Comments (5)smiles - try this: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ Choose Exterior Scene. Try the Spanish Revival house (or any other you want), then plug in some colors like Mossy Gold (just request Mossy or you'll get a whole bunch of different golds), Baguette, a peachy pink like Constant Coral or any other colors that will be suggested in this thread. You will also get suggested coordinating colors for doors, shutters and trim. Another idea is to go to your nearest paint store like SW or BM and ask what are the most popular colors for your style house. Take a picture of your house and ask to talk with the color consultant when you're there and see what they recommend. Doesn't hurt to gather as many opinions as possible and see if there is a common thread....See Morebay area interior designer for mediterranean style home?
Comments (3)Hello to a Bay Area neighbor! I don't have a specific person to recommend, based on experience, but a great source of names is the link below. Angela Free, Jay Jeffers and Kendall Wilkinson have especially nice portfolios you can look at on their sites. I have a number of designers bookmarked for various reference reasons, and I *think* I may have someone from Oakland as well. You style home is popular there too. If I do, I'll post back. Here is a link that might be useful: SF Showcase Designers...See MoreTerracotta floors / Mediterranean style home
Comments (11)No, I didn't forget, but it doesn't really compare. Gold isn't brass. Gold reflects mightily in low light and glows in a way that brass can only stand in the corner and envy. Purple was reserved for royalty, not because it looked good with the other colors, but because it was very rare and very expensive. The point is that there are exceptions to every rule and contravention for every blanket statement. There's also the rule that 2 reds might clash but 20 reds don't, which often works, but when it fails it's really really bad... Look at the things together. Look at them together with different lights. Choose what you like. If you're colorblind you might make choices that don't make sense to others who can't see what you see, but if it's for yourself, go for it. If you like aubergine and brass, please don't let me stop you! (Anyway, it's meh, not shudder-worthy.)...See MoreNeed paint color ideas for Mediterranean style home
