IMO the picture looks a lot like Kramer's Supreme, which might be easier to find (and is supposed to have scented flowers as well). Here is a link that might be useful: ACS - Kramer's Supreme

Ok, I am doing some reseach on the issue. I did find a neat web page which shows us some pics of other similarly affected Cardinals and discusses causes of baldness. I wasn't able to find anything which specifically stated the reason why the skin would be white instead of dark, but this is obviously something which isn't so uncommon. I'll keep looking when I get time, and if I find anything else re the white skin, I will come back and post it for you. :o)

It could be that a bird laid the egg there, or that it fell or was pushed out of a nest and just ended up there. A cardinal is unlikely to nest in a spot like that.

Nice photos. That Redbird looks like he is taking a second look, possibly at that petrified squirrel sitting on top of that other feeder. "What?!?!...Did that squirrel just move??" Kt.
