A New Start - New Trouble - 5 + Ants

Hello everyone. To bring you up to date, my bb pair laid 4 eggs of which only one hatched. This was during our April freeze in GA. Then the one that hatched died leaving me sad but hopeful.

I just checked the nestbox for the first time. We've had a lot of bad weather and I didn't want to cause any problems.

Well inside the nest are 5 beautiful little eggs. And on the lid that lifts up were 100's of ants. I'm not sure what kind. Little black ones. Seems like we have been hit really hard in GA this year with ants of all kinds. I knocked all of them off being careful not to knock them in the nest. Then I did a quick check of the nest itself. I don't see ants in there, but I know if they got in there will be more. Especially once the eggs hatch and are being fed.

Any idea what I can do? I remember someone saying that you could put them in another nest in another box but would that be wise.

Any advice at all would be great.

Thanks.
