Nancy, I just got the pro-mix and perlite, so i will add to the pro-mix to lighten it a bit. Bruce, can you believe I found the gnat traps at a local nursery (thank you Alberta!!). They are the yellow flag sticks and it was 6.99/pkg. Also, I enjoyed your website, beautiful daylilys you hybridizied. Alberta - thank you so much! yes, it's Maureen (good memory you have). I called and they had it. I went today and picked it up. They only have the displays left (they poked flower stakes into them) so the owner just pulled out the flower stakes and brought it to my car. It has a bunch of small holes, but that's ok. I'm just so happy to have found a local source. It is the pro=-mix bx and it was 29.99 for hte 3.8cu foot pkg. My DH carried it into the kitchen and said "how much does this thing weight" then commented it felt like 50 lbs. (he is a big muscular guy too)so I'm so happy he was able to carry it in for me. Nancy - thanks for the info. I didn;'t have any apple cider vinegar so I couldn't try it. But the next time I buy it i'm going to try it. Maureen

It's unlikely that a nylon would work anyway. They are finer than DUST, no word of a lie. :o/ I really can't think of any way that the seeds/dust could be collected if the pods were to open spontaneously. My Cardinal Flower plant (ya, I only have one little lonely one) is in the shade so it's still green but ones I've seen in sunny areas are now turning that brownish/yellow colour. I knocked on the door of someone I don't even know to ask them for some pods but unfortunately nobody answered. :o( I'll try again though because it takes a zillion of these dust specs to even appear visible in a tiny seed envelope. I'm afraid if I don't put in enough that people will think I'm ripping them off when I use CF seeds in trades. Bubble off plumb... you and I are very close geographically (relatively speaking) and we've had such wet, wet weather, I suppose it's hard for the seeds to ripen and the stalks to dry. I'm so excited! I received my seeds today! I didn't think I'd see them until the end of next week. I received one or two I'll need to look up, some wants, some things I was curious about and a few things I didn't even know I wanted! LOL! Dh & I are trying to determine if we like turnips!
