I enjoyed reading this tonight after a very busy weekend and want to thank you so much for sharing this. Your birding experiences are so interesting. I loved seeing the little bluebird finally make the leap in the movie and all of your photos are so incredible. Poor little mama bluebird with the hurt leg. I sure hope it heals correctly enough for her to get use from it. She is very unique in appearance and I wonder if any of her babies will look like her. Please keep us posted if you see any resemblance. The high winds have been so hard on our little birds this year.

Yea…Aga range is in place but not hooked up yet!SS behind range then tile sorry…not a very good picture. this is the light that hangs to the left of the range over the lower cabinets. Getting down to the small stuff now….touch up painting, adjusting cabinets…etc.

I think most people assume that the Edison filament bulbs provide enough light since you see them everywhere. But they aren't meant for task lighting over an island. There's a discussion in Home Decor now about those bulbs. I copied this from Brushworks' post: A decent amount of work light is about 800 lumens minium. The Edison incandescent averages less than 350 lumens. The Edison LED isn't much better at 450 lumens. Great for lanterns or exposed bulb application. The Edison Vintage LED temperature is 2200 which is slightly above candle light. Rejuvenation recommends using the satin etch or opal shades with regular bulbs.

Those daisies are asters also known as a montauk Rose. The lower lights are florescent and give off heat, they heat the rootstock and help start the process of soil drying, and keeping the soil close to room temperature. My readings say I am usually within 2 degress of 72 to 74 air temp. they are timed to come on one hour before before the upper cool LED lights come on. Although I'm about to construct a Steve Bucket Light or two....I have 3 babies that are really meant to go outside permanently
